Your bridal portraits are more than just beautiful photos in your dress. They’re an opportunity to see your entire bridal look come together before the wedding day and make sure every detail feels like you.
We love being part of this special milestone, and a little preparation can make your session feel so much more relaxed and enjoyable! 💕
A few tips from your glam team before your bridal shoot:
🎀 Schedule your hair & makeup trial with your portraits. This is the perfect opportunity to see how your look photographs, how it wears, and whether you’d like to make any adjustments before the wedding.
💇🏼‍♀️ Prep your hair the day before. Arrive with clean, completely dry hair unless your stylist has given you different instructions. Avoid heavy oils or products that may affect styling, and let us know ahead of time if you have extensions or naturally textured hair.
🧴 Keep your skincare routine consistent. Hydrate your skin and avoid trying new products, strong exfoliants, or unfamiliar treatments right before your session. If you’re planning a facial, spray tan, or other beauty treatment, talk with your artist about the best timing.
👰🏼‍♀️ Bring all the little details. Your veil, hair accessories, earrings, jewelry, and any other pieces you plan to wear help us create the complete look. If possible, have your dress steamed and ready before glam begins. And remember your bouquet
💄 We provide a touch-up kit. Bring your lip color, powder or blotting papers, and anything else your artist recommends. A little touch-up between locations can make a big difference!
📸 Plan your timeline with your photographer. Allow enough time for hair, makeup, getting dressed, and travel so you’re not rushing into your session. Beautiful portraits deserve a little breathing room.

We absolutely loved having this bride and her girls take over the Holly Gritti Glam Bridal Bar for the morning! From everyone piling onto the couch to getting hair pinned, lashes on, and those final touches before dresses, it was such a FUN group to glam. 💕
And can we talk about how good everything came together?! 😍 The soft blue dresses, gorgeous florals, and all of the different updos were perfection.
Our Bridal Bar was created for mornings just like this—to give our brides a place where they can get ready, relax, laugh way too much, and make memories with their girls before heading down the aisle. 🤍
