There are some stories that change you forever… and some people who leave a mark so beautiful, you carry them with you in everything you create.

Today, on this beautiful first day of spring, I’m proud to share the rebranding & fresh new beginning of my little salon suite! Wildflower Layne— a name chosen in honor of my angel, Kaedyn Layne.

Kaedyn was, in every sense of the word, a wildflower.

She was free-spirited and full of life… the kind of soul that couldn’t be contained. She bloomed in her own way, on her own time, and brought beauty to even the most unexpected places. She was strong, yet gentle. Bold, yet soft. Wild, yet deeply rooted in love.

Wildflowers don’t need perfect conditions to grow. They thrive wherever they’re planted. They bend with the wind, reach for the light, and remind us that beauty isn’t about perfection— it’s about authenticity, resilience, and being unapologetically yourself.

That is who Kaedyn was.

And that is what Wildflower Layne will stand for.

This space will be more than a salon suite—it will be a place where individuality is celebrated, where confidence blooms, and where every person who walks through the door is reminded of their own unique beauty.

Through every transformation, every conversation, and every moment shared here, her spirit will live on.

Forever wild. Forever blooming. 🌸🤍

With love,
Brittany & Wildflower Layne

Dear clients,

First, I want to say, “Thank you!” —For your prayers. For checking in on me periodically. And for your patience. The last almost 3 months have been the most difficult of my life, to say the least, but having such a huge support system & the opportunity to be home with my family while we figure out how to manage moving forward without our KK, without the worry of upsetting anyone or feeling like I’ve burdened anyone by being unavailable (even if I have) has been such a monumental blessing.

I’ve been behind the chair for almost 12 years now, and on more than one occasion, I’ve needed to step away to put my family’s needs first, and you guys have always remained kind, caring, understanding and faithful. A client base like the one I’ve got is all any stylist could ever dream of. I love you all so very much!

I am no where near “healed”…I never will be, and there are still days where I JUST CANT. Can’t get out of the bed. Can’t do people. Can’t function. Cant make sense of this new life that we have been thrust into. Those days come without warning & while it may cause some inconvenience, I do feel like I am ready to begin SLOWLY getting back into the salon & some sort of routine again.

For the time being, I will be working part time. I will not be available after 3pm or on weekends. If losing KK taught me nothing else, it 1000% taught me that my family is the most important thing. I refuse to miss out on my kids growing up. I refuse to not be home to eat dinner with my family. I refuse to not be there for every extra-curricular thing they do. Especially now, my family needs me as much as I do them.

I realize this schedle change will be something not all can make work, and I promise, I will not take it personal if you can’t. I want to continue doing what I love, making you all FEEL as beautiful as you are, but not at the cost of being there for my family FIRST, and if that means losing a few people along the way, that’s okay. 🥰 We can still be friends.

Beginning Jan 12, I will start taking appointments. Clients who had appointments booked after October 5 will take priority. Any new (or not booked within 12 months) clients will be put on a waitlist until I can make sure that I have got all my regulars taken care of. My earliest appointment will be 8:30am & my latest (for color) will be 12:30pm to guarantee I am able to leave by 3pm. Days will vary based off my clients needs, but I will likely be rotating my weeks m-w-f/tu-th. Idk…it just depends on what ends up working out. I’ve given working a go a couple times and it’s VERY draining and by the end of the day my anxiety is through the roof, so I definitely don’t want to over-exert myself and regress in my grieving process. 🥺

That being said: please feel free to mention my baby girl in conversation. Please don’t shy away from that topic. She existed and tiptoeing around her name only feels like her memory is being erased. As heartbreaking as it is to talk about her in memory, not talking about her is a million times worse.

If you’ve read this far, thank you. And I can’t wait to give you all big hugs and catch up on what’s been going on in your lives. I miss you guys bunches!

xoxo

Dear Clients,

Most of you know, but some may not. On October 5, my world flipped upside down when my sweet Kaedyn passed away in an atv accident.

I am going to step away from the salon for a moment to take some time to grieve & focus on my family & our healing…what healing can be found in such a tragedy.

I’m not sure how long I’ll be out, but I promise I’ll be back. Hopefully by the beginning of next month. I hope that you guys are able to extend some patience and grace until I am able to return.

Please pray for my family, because as life returns to normal for most after her funeral & burial, we are only just beginning to face the weight of this new reality, and it has been devastating— a roller coaster of emotions from one moment to the next for all of us…Her dad and I especially.

On Wednesdays, we wear huge grins & brand new extensions! 💖

So happy to give one of my most cherished & bestest of girls the confidence boost she soooo deserved, even though she was already a solid 12/10. 😘

August is almost BOOKED!

•If you would like to be added to my cancellation list for an earlier appt, please get with me.

•For appts after 4pm, please message me. I know not everyone has the ability to come during their work day, however once school starts back, my evenings get crazy! I’ll do my best to pre-book those, but until I have our practice schedules, I cannot guarantee keeping those appointments.

Fun fact: Every time my super blonde or super long haired clients come in and say “OKAY SOOOO…” my anxiety goes through the roof. 😅
