Hi everyone. This is my ex-wife, I nicknamed her the “bruised banana. She has always struggled with severe health issues & would bruise so easy , even by us holding hands. The mother of our 2 children. Most people know nothing of my personal life. The child in this chair is my ex wife. A breathtaking soul, we met in our late teens at a 7-11 convient store at about this exact time in the morning 2am,that this is being posted it was over a purchase of a slushy, that something sparked. I choose to never be publicly vulnerable ever. However here we are. This woman has been a staple in my life life for over 32 years now. At some point we decided it was the best to part ways. Yet we never ever stopped Being friends. So may I introduce you to my great friend “bruised banana” Laurabeth.

Hello Salon Family, Valued Guests and Friends, with Gavin Newsome’s new announcement allowing salons to operate outside -there are also conflicting statements by Our California State Board of Barbering And Cosmetology (who is in charge of Our Personal and Business license) With that being said, the actual logistics of our salon operating outside is not feasible, cost effective, nor up to our standard of salon experience. There are no shampoo bowls outdoors, stations, restroom, processors, or our basic equipment for ergonomic application. Aside from the warm weather, altering processing time, wind/weather affecting the cutting process, lack of accessible power to name a few. Frankly, these “solutions” are laughable, stressful and to be very clear, Insulting. We ask that you please be patient with us and your personal stylist as we navigate the situation and options. As always, please remember how much we appreciate you all. 💕

Follow the progress of this beauty. She wanted to go blonde slow, steady and healthy. Saturday’s transformation, a before pic of what her hair looked like when she walked in and the first picture from the day she first sat in my chair. Saturday was a 5 hour event. Pretty sure she’s going to need a new driver’s license picture. 💥💥💥 ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

I had a phone call from a concerned son yesterday regarding his mother’s appt. I actually appreciated his questions and it made me realize that although you’ll feel the changes in our studio, you won’t necessarily know the steps we took in order to get it in order for your comfort AND safety. We removed all porous materials from our studio. We cleaned from the ceiling tiles, the walls down to the floor. We hired a professional company to Steam Clean our entryway followed by the Windows followed by a Cleaning Service. We upgraded to plush decadent wipeable chairs and built dividers to protect each guest between the shampoo bowls. As stylists we’re working in a zigzag pattern to insure comfortable distance between guests. Every surface gets sanitized multiple times a day. Before, during and after each appointment. We no longer double book guests and a freshly washed cape is never reused between clients. Our clients text from their car 5 minutes early so we can invite them in once our current guest leaves the building. We use a lovely spray hand sanitizer upon entry and do a temperature check. We log a Covid trail just in case. Our guests have informed us if they’ve been in contact with Covid. (2 of mine personally) we do an instant two week quarantine and rebook them. We utilize contactless soap dispensers and finalize all end appts at our individual stations. Some of us have Immune Compromised family in our homes- so we are at an elevated level of regard for one another, our families and our salon guests. We are very proud of the efforts we made in keeping our environment charming and welcome, but most importantly- safe. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Getting our space so nice and shiny for our Valued Guests/Friends... we thank you for your patience. Please know EVERYTHING we’re doing at the Studio- we have everyone’s safety in mind while we still have the WOW Kaboom💥 Factor visually. You may have had to wait an extra minute, but you’re not going to question how hard we worked to give you the environment you deserve. It’s gonna be like a GINORMOUS Visual Hug - since it can’t actually come from us. 💕
