Meet Mac!

In just two weeks, Mac will officially be making Blendology her new salon home, and we are so excited to welcome her.

Mac is coming to us from another salon, bringing some of the clients she’s already built relationships with and continuing to grow her clientele here at Blendology.

And I’m really excited for more people to discover her.

Her talent truly speaks for itself. She has a beautiful eye for hair, cares about the details and creates the kind of work that makes you stop scrolling and take a second look.

She’s talented, motivated and excited for this next chapter, and I think Blendology is going to be such a great place for her to continue building her career.

For her current clients, we can’t wait to welcome you into your new salon home. 🤍

Next up in our Blendology reintroductions… Alaina. 🤍

Alaina is the woman behind Hair by Alaina Jene, and with 15 years behind the chair, she’s definitely not afraid of a transformation.

One of the things I love about Alaina’s work is her range. She can give you a beautiful blonde, add length + fullness with extensions, create something completely outside the box with vivid color or pull everything together with a great cut.

She has a creative eye and genuinely loves being able to make each result feel individual to the person sitting in her chair. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach happening over there.

And her creativity definitely doesn’t stop when she leaves the salon. She’s a reader, loves being outside, appreciates a good spooky movie and is a mom to two girls + three dogs. So there is never a shortage of things to talk about in her chair. 😂

After 15 years in this industry, I think there’s something really cool about still being excited to create, change things up and have fun with hair, and Alaina absolutely brings that energy with her.

We’re so happy to have her as part of the Blendology crew. 🤍

Kris is the woman behind The Mauve Maven and another one of our independent stylists who calls Blendology home.

She’s one of those stylists who genuinely enjoys doing a little bit of everything, and I think that says a lot about her. After years behind the chair, she still loves the creativity of this industry and getting to make each appointment something different.

She also brings such an easy, fun energy into the salon. She can talk to just about anyone, there’s usually some kind of conversation happening around her chair, and she’s absolutely going to have an opinion if sports come up.

What I love about having Kris at Blendology is that she has her own style, her own loyal clientele and her own way of doing things, while still feeling very much like part of our little salon community.

That’s exactly what I hoped this space would become.

So whether you know her as Kris, Britt or KB… now you know a little more about the woman behind The Mauve Maven.

Next up… meet Nicolette. 🤍

Nicolette is the woman behind Color Edit by Nic and one of the independent stylists who calls Blendology home.

One of the things I appreciate about Nicolette is how intentional she is behind the chair. She isn’t interested in giving every client the same version of “good hair.” She pays attention to the person sitting in front of her, what they actually want and what realistically works for their life.

She’s thoughtful about her work, she cares about the details, and she genuinely wants her clients to understand their hair rather than just leave with it looking pretty for the day.

And that really represents something I love about Blendology.

Every stylist here has her own business, her own way of doing things and her own relationships with her clients. There isn’t one Blendology “type” of stylist, and I never want there to be.

Nicolette has built Color Edit by Nic to feel completely like her, and I love that she gets to do that while still being part of what we’ve built together here.

If you’ve sat in her chair, you already know what she brings to our space.

Well, I figured if I’m going to reintroduce the Blendology team, I should probably start with myself. 😂🤍

Hi, I’m Heather.

I’ve been in this industry for 17+ years, which is honestly a little wild to say out loud. My career has changed a LOT over those years, but one thing that hasn’t changed is how much I genuinely love this industry.

I’m still behind the chair doing what I love, with extensions becoming a huge part of both my work and what I’m known for. I’m a detail person through and through, and there’s something about figuring out exactly what someone’s hair needs, then watching the whole thing come together, that never gets old.

I also really enjoy the technical side of what we do. Over the years I’ve taught custom airbrush tanning, and I love working with other stylists to refine their extension application techniques. Sharing the things I’ve learned along the way is something I’d love to continue doing more of.

Then there’s Blendology.

Owning a salon was never just about having my name on a business. What I’ve loved most is watching other talented women build businesses, careers and relationships with their clients inside a space I created.

And now, as Blendology grows into its next chapter, I keep having these little moments where I look around and think… we really built this.

There’s a lot happening around here right now, and I couldn’t think of a better time to introduce you to everyone who makes this place what it is.
