Things I wish I knew in my first year of Hairdressing!
1. There’s no 9 to 5....ever!
2. Forget lunch it will be a fond memory.
3. You will learn the brand of hairspray by taste.
4. You will learn the skill of nodding and communicating over a hairdryer with the skill of a therapist.
5. Hair you get out of your skin won’t be ever be yours.
6. You will be on your feet all day...ALL day!
7. You will hurt yourself -cuts, burns and hunger pains.
8. You will do formulas in your head like Einstein
9. Small things like going to the toilet, sitting down and silence are really big things.
10. You will learn a foreign language.
11. You will often drive home with colour on .....and you will feel grateful.
12. You will watch and learn ,learn and watch, watch and learn........forever
13. But you will love it.....there’s no job like it!

Due to the “shelter at home” order for Illinois, with a heavy heart I have to suspend working on clients. I truly appreciate your understanding at this time. A haircut or hair color can certainly make you feel so much better but it is not worth risking your health.
