Hello, Salon-goers! Adrienne and I hope you're having a fabulous summer. We've been busy, busy, busy!!
As promised, we're keeping our LJS friends updated on our book news. Adrienne's newest, CRAVING HEAT, released this week. For those of you who enjoyed our Steele Ridge series, this is the first book in a spinoff -- Steele Ridge: The Kingstons. Sheriff Maggie Kingston starts off the series, and I think this might be Adrienne's best book yet. I hope you'll give the Kingston cousins a try and continue on this wonderful journey with us!
Hugs and much love,
Tracey & Adrienne

Today, Adrienne and I are remembering one of our dear friends -- A Lynne Wall. Not long after we opened Lady Jane's doors, I met Lynne at a local reader/author conference. She was there in her capacity as librarian. Back then, I was a shy and uncertain author, still wondering why anyone would want to read my books.
But Lynne welcomed me with her gentle smile and expert questions. Before long, she knew all about my one wee book and Lady Jane's. She promised to visit and she did. Many times.
Little did I know back then that Lynne harbored literary dreams of her own. She wanted to be an author--and she hoped one day she would be able to stand in front of the audience at Lady Jane's and read from her own book.
Both dreams came true. The picture below is of Lynne in December 2015, reading to a delighted LJS audience from her story, MEASURING EXCELLENCE.
On September 13, Lynne lost her battle with breast cancer--and the romance community lost one of its dearest friends and fiercest champions.
With much love,
Tracey and Adrienne
PS - Lynne wrote an article for Read A Romance Month in August. She shares a little about her struggle with cancer and how reading romances helped her through the dark times. And, of course, the librarian in her recommended some wonderful reads. :)

HUGE thanks to everyone who joined us at Angeli's for our farewell dinner! So great to see everyone, and we missed those who couldn't make it.
The good news is that we all decided to get together for a reunion dinner at least once or twice a year. So we're already plotting to see everyone again in September. 😘
Hugs and much love!

After five fabulous years of bringing readers and authors together, Lady Jane's Salon-Naperville is calling it a wrap. Adrienne and Tracey have loved providing a space for local authors to share their masterpieces with Chicagoland's amazing and generous readers.
But we don't want to go without saying a proper goodbye to all of you who have supported LJS with your precious time, $$, and friendship.
On April 4, we are having dinner at Angeli’s Restaurant in Naperville (1478 E. Chicago Avenue, Naperville) at 6:00 pm. Come hang out with us!

If you're interested, please RSVP so we can reserve enough space for everyone. Depending on the size of the group, everyone will be able to order off the menu and pay for their meal separately. If the group grows, we’ll be eating family style and all sharing the cost. Easy-peasy!
Thank you for five amazing years and we hope to see you on the 4th!
xoxo Tracey and Adrienne
