If you’ve ever wondered why someone can’t just “get over it” or “move on” I am grateful for you that you don’t know the deep pain and intense journey of profound loss.

If you DO know this journey then please know that I see you. I have been so fortunate (yet unfortunate) to connect with many people who have walked along side me whether physically or through the interwebs during this last two years. I am grateful for the comfort, the emotional connections, and the thought provoking conversations. I am thankful to share my raw humanity and be seen by and with others.

You cannot be saved or protected from the agony of grief. You cannot wake up one day and “be cured” from grief. It is a journey of self-reflection, soul-work and an often impossible feeling of existence.

For me it had been a re-evaluation. What brings me joy? What now fulfills my cup of purpose? What comes with ease vs adding unnecessary struggle? It has been surrounding myself with deep and emotional people and ridding my presence of shallow and self centered people.

In many ways my greatest heartache and most intense struggle is helping me uncover a version of myself I love more deeply than I thought I ever could.

Yet I still wish this pain on no one. There is simplicity in the bliss of ignorance.
