☺️Today, I was fortunate to welcome a new client who walked in unexpectedly. Despite waiting for an hour, she expressed her desire to have her hair colored black. Understanding her frustration with unblended roots, I steered her away from the black shade, which could have been less flattering. Instead, I decided to work on a balayage technique, incorporating gentle lowlights and a toner. This approach ensures that as her natural hair grows, the transition will be seamless and elegant. Ultimately, it means she'll be able to extend the time between visits. After a minor trim and a revitalizing treatment, she left my salon looking forward to her date night. The satisfaction from achieving these results was mutual!🙌🏻🩷 (wait for video!)

We achieved this look in one session!!! Personally I think it’s so important to show before pictures not just results! Often Clients don’t have realistic expectation but they are not to blame. However it’s our responsibility as a professional to not only listen to what the client wants but to also ask questions about their hair history. I always try my best to educate clients on the services & steps it will take to achieve their Pinterest perfect picture. This consultation will also let them know approximately how long our appointment will take, and the cost.
I would hate to rush or not be able to finish a session because the appointment ran longer than the client expected.. (This has happened to me more than once.) it’s not fair to you but it’s also unfair to me. I want you to have the best experience possible. Hair has a huge emotional attachment. Giving clients their confidence back it’s truly so rewarding. So many things come into play with achieving your desired look. Personally I like to see before and after pictures so I can truly see the work that was put into the appointment. For example you might see an after photo and it may not be a Pinterest perfect picture, so now you think that stylist is trash. what you don’t see is the starting point. And The hours in-between. Everyone hair history is different. Some hair will lift beautifully, some won’t lift at all. if someone’s hair is over processed the color will not stick. It will turn out dull and lose its vibrant shine. We truly care about the health of your hair. Sometimes your end goal result might take a few sessions as someone else’s may take one session. 💗now looking from a different perspective, you can scroll and see the most perfect picture and think that stylist is the best, not knowing that her client came in with gorgeous, healthy, beautiful hair and the truth is she didn’t do much work to it!! She may have better results but It doesn’t show her work. I hope this helps you for find your future forever hairstylist!
