This one look I did on myself for a special event. Still love it! When shimmery makeup is correctly placed, even on mature or over 20 faces, it looks beautiful! I can't remember what I used, but you could recreate this if you used shimmery whites, warm soft browns and black on the eyes. Pair that with a greige lipliner and irredescent lipstick. It's a beautiful going-out look.

One of my favorite things to do (when I am not hosting on-camera) is prep and prime you for your big moments. It's such a gift to do both! What a great shoot at last week to get and camera-ready with the very talented who knocked it out of the park.

There is something so exciting about working a shoot in a TV studio; chock-full of perfect lighting, lots of monitors, and sizzling personality. The energy in a studio is undeniable, but it's the compatibility between professionals that make sparks fly.

I've been working both sides of the camera for a decade, so if you're looking to get yourself ready and relaxed for your next shoot, perhaps these tips will help.

🌟 If possible, get as much sleep as possible the night before. Lack of sleep will affect the pop factor of your eyes and your skin could look drab.

🌟 Deep breathe in; deep breathe out...and smile! That deep breathe out somehow moves many of those jitters out, making your expression and body language more relaxed.

🌟 Slight movements may give you the pose of your dreams! Little movements like a crossed arm, touch of wrist, or slight twist in the body don't look as glamour shot posed. They'll also give you a great poised, lifestyle feel to your photos.

And, I used to think that being both makeup artist and on-camera talent didn't work to my advantage. However, we are all our biggest critics, and now I see that it's a special gift.

I'm not here to be a makeup influencer (though I guess I do a little bit of that, too). I don't post often, but rest assured that when you hire me, I am 100% in! I am here to give you the makeup of your dreams, and, well, the feedback has been great, so I guess I'm doing something right.
