Hi I’m Jessica and I became a pelvic floor therapist and movement specialist after I learned how to manage my pelvic floor dysfunction.

Now I get the privilege of helping others to manage bladder, bowel, pain and sexual issues.

Hi all,
I have some bittersweet news to report. I have made the tough decision to close The Pelvic Connection. There are several reasons for this but the most important is that I have been offered and accepted the opportunity to be the Director of Pelvic Floor Services in a new clinic located in Woburn/Wilmington MA. I will continue to provide the same great care and services working with clients of all ages and genders.
It is important for those of you I see in the Nashua clinic to know that we will continue to work together as you progress on your journey (for those of you that haven’t had a visit recently please reach out). When I'm not in Nashua you will find me at Athletic Evolution 800 W Cummings park, Suite 1400, Woburn, MA.
As always please reach out with any questions you may have about pelvic floor therapy and if it may be right for you. My goal has always been to help you find the right resources and practitioners to help you feel better and live your best life.
I want to give a special thank you to Matthew Anthony Stanizzi and Bernice Lopez- Stanizzi at
BioRestorefor giving me an opportunity to get my business off the ground and to Sean Jordan
and Stephanie Dimino True Performance PT,
for believing in me and taking time to help coach and teach me about the business and client bumps in the road. I will be forever grateful for all of your support.
Cheers to new adventures and healthy pelvic floors

Yes!!

Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, shared a candid piece of advice for other women with children.

“Once you have kids please take care of your pelvic floor. Seriously. From: A girl with a fractured back.”

It’s a whole new world …. Love this kid !!

I know as parents we focus on how proud we are of our kiddos often forgetting just how much we ourselves have accomplished! I want to take a minute to tell you how freaking proud I am of my mom Debra Collins….
Those of us that work in healthcare do so first and foremost to care for others! This is especially true for nurses! For better or worse they spend endless hours giving… in literally every part of their lives. As a kid I remember my mom going to work and coming home never missing a beat. We had no idea that her day had been spent helping people live and holding their hand when they died. We had no idea she was tired and emotionally exhausted. She was always the safe place… she was and still is mom. She has served the community of Sanford for a long time and I don’t think in all my years I have ever met one person that has had a bad thing to say about her! (And honestly if you do you can shove it as far as I’m concerned) this woman always made it a point to make each patient and their families day a little brighter no matter the circumstance!!
Mom you are a true hero… a role model and I can’t tell you how proud we all are of you (that includes Nan and Pup)!! I would love for you to kick back and put your feet up in retirement… but I know of a few 4 foot something’s that can’t wait to have Grammy time!!
Love you to the moon and back xoxo Ian Collins

Last week we started talking about the long term affects of carrying your kiddos on your hips (Check out that post if you haven’t already!) One of the best ways to help avoid the shelf (as I like to call it) is to carry baby close to your body and in the center. However I realize as they grow and as we are trying to do all the things that still need to be done despite kiddos its not realistic to carry baby in your center. So a couple of tips-first switch hips as often as possible, second- work on standing hip lift/drops to help keep each side mobile and decrease build up of tension, third try this tushbaby carrier… (this is not sponsored, but it was a game changer for me), fourth-when standing in the mirror to brush you’re hair/teeth try keeping your hips aligned, knees soft and keep our pelvis neutral. When you bend forward try to hinge vs bending at your back.
