The Mind-Gut connection explored how the fascial system. Ii have done a do I able work with success for my clients. Its amazing work!

Did you know Gut Wisdom Lives in Fascia?
The enteric nervous system (ENS), often called the “second brain”, is not just a neural network.
It is a deeply fascial one.

1. The ENS Lives Within Visceral Fascia:
The visceral fascia, which envelopes the digestive organs, houses the ENS within the very walls of the gut. These fascial layers, like the mesentery and omentum, form a living matrix of connective tissue, blood vessels, lymphatics, and neurons.

(Langevin et al., 2021 and Bordoni & Morabito, 2012 confirm: the mesenteric fascia is a continuous structure supporting both neural and visceral integrity.)

2. Fascia Talks to the ENS:
Fascial tissue is alive with sensory nerve endings (Ruffini, Golgi, and interstitial receptors) that detect stretch and tension. These mechanoreceptors relay signals that can influence autonomic and enteric tone, impacting everything from digestion to peristalsis.

(Schleip et al., 2006 demonstrated that fascial stimulation affects parasympathetic output, meaning fascial health can directly shape ENS regulation.)

3. Restrictions Can Disrupt Gut Function:
Tightness in the diaphragm, psoas, or abdominal wall may impair ENS rhythm, contributing to constipation, bloating, or dysregulation. Myofascial Release (MFR) improves visceral mobility, often restoring rhythm to an out-of-sync gut.

A 2018 study (Arienti et al., Disability & Rehabilitation) showed that fascial work around the gut improves bowel function in IBS patients.

Release the fascia → improve vagal tone → harmonize gut-brain signaling.

4. Fascia Conducts Bioelectric Signals:
Structured water in fascia (Pollack, 2013) and collagen’s semiconductive matrix (Bandyopadhyay, 2020) form an electrical web that mirrors neural communication. If fascia is dehydrated or inflamed, the signal gets scrambled. Hydrated, open fascia allows clean electrochemical dialogue between the ENS and the rest of the nervous system.

Your gut is not just a tube, it is a sensory, fluid, frequency-based system.

The fascia is the medium through which its wisdom flows.

Did you know your rib cage holds onto more than just physical tension?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the rib cage is closely tied to unprocessed emotions—especially those related to grief, anger, guilt, and frustration. These emotions can become stuck here when not fully expressed or processed, affecting both your physical and emotional well-being.
The liver meridian runs through the rib cage, and in TCM, the liver is seen as the organ responsible for the smooth flow of energy (Qi) throughout the body. When your liver energy becomes blocked or stagnant, this can create tension in the rib cage, leading to discomfort, tightness, and even pain. It also impacts your emotional state, causing irritability, mood swings, or feelings of being overwhelmed.

What happens when the liver energy isn’t moving freely? When your liver meridian is blocked, it can result in:– Digestive issues like bloating, constipation, or indigestion– Hormonal imbalances, particularly during PMS– Chronic emotional stress or feelings of being “stuck”– Physical tension in the ribs, chest, and upper body
The rib cage serves as a storage area for these emotions. Every unresolved emotional experience or decision you couldn’t make can settle here, creating a backlog of unexpressed energy. This is why it’s so important to address both emotional and physical tension in this area.
So, how can you release this trapped energy?✨ Side-body breathing: Expanding the chest and sides to open up the space where emotions are stored.✨ Gentle twisting movements: These activate the liver meridian, promoting the flow of Qi and releasing tension.
Healing is not just about detoxing or pushing through pain—it’s about creating flow in the body, mind, and emotions. When we clear the energetic blockages in the liver meridian, we create space for healing to take place, both physically and emotionally.
