This one is deeply personal to me.

In September 2024, my best friend lost her son, Corey, at just 32 years old. Corey was kind, loving, and an incredible son and brother. He had so much to give—but he was battling depression, and unfortunately, it took over. He didn’t see in himself what so many of us saw in him.

No mother should ever have to bury her child. This is the reality of what depression can do when it goes unseen, unheard, or untreated.

I am walking to honor Corey and to support su***de awareness and prevention—because this is happening far too often. If sharing his story can help even one person feel seen, supported, or encouraged to get help, then it matters.
