Dear Clients,

I’m here to share some important news with you: I am retiring from men's cuts. After nearly 20 years of cutting hair in Nashville, I am reinventing the way I work. It's rare for hairdressers to last this long in the industry, given the challenges we face, including creative fatigue, difficult salon environments, physical strain, financial uncertainties, and often unrealistic expectations.

The hair world I was raised in taught me to work late, skip meals, double-book appointments, and sacrifice my own needs for others. However, I now seek a different relationship with work. I am insisting on making time and energy to take care of myself, focus on my health, create art, and enjoy my life. I have hustled my whole life, and I’m craving a different pace.

Even before the pandemic, maintaining my schedule had become increasingly challenging. After 22 years in this profession and a stroke a few years ago, I realized that I need to slow down. I want to focus on one thing at a time and do it well, so my intention is to grow my color clientele. I plan to work shorter days, seeing fewer clients with longer appointments.

Please understand, gentlemen, that this decision comes from a place of gratitude and not from a lack of love or loyalty. I have genuinely enjoyed my time with you, and I assure you that I am not leaving you without support. I want the best for you, even if I am not the one cutting your hair.

As for me, I’m currently catching up on appointments from COVID through September. However, starting in September, I’ll be living just 10 minutes away, which is closer to Clint and work. I am excited about these changes and the flexibility I am allowing myself in my schedule.

Hey friends.

I just wanted to stop in with a little update. I’ve been slowly getting back into work and trying to catch up, but my reality is still very covid-y. Every day is different and I’ve overdone it more than a few times.
And I know this is scary, but I’ve blocked my book through August so I can book my own appointments, knowing my limitations. I just need to be able to really take my time and focus on a few clients a day without being rushed by a schedule. text me at 615-542-9969 or email me at [email protected].

Millie turned 2. She loves Clint, car rides, window naps, patio time, sitting next to the ice maker, and every bit of sun she can get. Her little heart is as big as her mouth. When I have Clint on speaker phone, she will meow frantically and rub her face on the phone. To say she is spoiled, is an understatement. I love this stinky little bean! Happy Birthday girlie!!!

Status update!

Hey friends,

I’m dropping in with an update. I’ve been sick with Covid now for 10 days and my doctor is considering it long Covid at this point. I’m having blinding headaches and no energy. I’ve had IV fluids and vitamins, and just can’t seem to shake it.
It’s my plan to open up some additional days when I’m feeling better, so I can get everyone in. I’m thinking I’ll do short days for a while. Some mornings, and some afternoons..
I have had a few clients that couldn’t wait and I was happy to refer them. iIt won’t hurt my feelings!
