During this appointment, the goal wasn’t just coverage, it was keeping variation in tone so the hair doesn’t collapse into one flat color.

* The balayage kept the ends lighter and more dimensional, instead of flat
* The toner added intentional warmth through the ends, giving a soft red undertone
* The dry cut removed internal weight, so the shape feels full but airy instead of heavy

A common misconception is that covering gray means going darker or more solid all over. In reality, that’s often what creates the heaviness clients are trying to avoid.

This works best for clients who want a more dimensional finish which is why I usually don’t recommend it if someone prefers a very uniform, opaque color from root to ends.

When clients come in, this is something we map out during consultations—where to keep depth, where to add light, and how that will grow out over time.

I specialize in dry cutting and have spent years getting more and more obsessive about how hair actually falls and moves in real life. I also really love color, from soft, dimensional work to bigger changes, always with a focus on how it will grow out and fit your day-to-day.

My favorite part of this job, though, is problem-solving. Fixing something that’s felt “off,” figuring out why your hair won’t cooperate, or taking on something a little tricky—that’s where I’m happiest (could be the triple Ta**us coming out) ♉️ If I get quiet while I’m working, it’s just me focusing. I’ve learned the hard way that if I talk too much, I take forever, and we both have places to be.

I’m also huge on education. I love to explain why your hair does what it does and how to make it easier at home. My consultations tend to be a little longer because I’ve always been the person asking “but, why?”… and now I just do that professionally.

I laugh too loud, will find any opportunity to squeeze in a dad joke, and can give you a very specific list of documentaries or true crime shows you didn’t know you wanted. I love reading, puzzles, a really good meal out and making friends with every stranger I meet.
