We gathered up the family and did a last min trip to the sand dunes all weekend. I think we all needed it.
Cory, Dylan and I stayed up until the sun came up Fridays, Saturday and Sunday. Soaking in every moment before Dylan starts his new journey. It was filled with Deep Life Conversations, non stop laughing, lots of Crazy rain and memories i never want to forget.
Like my father In law always says “Sucks to be us” in true Cody form everytime we are having the time of our life.
This Cody family has taught me to LET LOOSE and LIVE.
My mom loved the dunes and flying iver those hills on her motorcycle. She was very much there with me.

Cheers to 42 with a little heart ache of two months you’ve been gone.
Grief is wild.
Like… what do you mean my mom is gone?
For 42 years she showed up for me in every way imaginable—through every challenge, every heartbreak, every joy. And now? Who do I turn to? Who do I call? Yes, I have amazing people in my life, but none of them are her.
Lately, it’s been so hard to show up at work as the person I’ve always been. My heart feels heavy every time I walk in. Inside, I’m exhausted. I find myself faking a smile, and that’s never been me. I’m not depressed—I’m just deeply, achingly sad. Conversations feel harder, my thoughts feel scattered, and this emptiness is something I can’t fully explain. The person I love most in this world is gone, and somehow I’m expected to keep showing up like everything is fine.
This year has forced me to slow down and see what really matters. I hate that it took losing my mom to realize it, but I promise—I’ll never take life or the people I love for granted again.
At my core, I am an optimist. Please don’t mistake my sadness for losing that part of me. I’ll find my happy Brette again. But there will always be a missing piece. My mom sculpted me into who I am—my sarcastic, silly, loud, over-the-top, deeply loving self. And right now, I’m just trying to find her within me again.
So if you see me a little quieter, a little less “on,” please know—I’m still trying.
This grief is the hardest thing life has thrown my way. And I’m just taking it one day at a time.

Birthday spoiled ✨🖤
My bestie really said: “You deserve the works, queen.” 👑
Full body scrub ✔️
Wrap ✔️
Facials ✔️
Lunch date ✔️
…and maybe a few tears in the car (because what’s friendship without crying together? 😅). This years birthday feels different as it lands on two months ago I lost my mom.
Grateful, refreshed, & ready for this next trip around the sun. 🥂

Cory and I took a fun ride up Ephraim canyon and across skyline down through Fairview Friday night for a little birthday drive for the weekend so I could see all the leaves changing.
I’m obsessed with how bright and bold the colors were. That crispy air felt good!
I love that this is our back yard

My mom would never let me have long hair.
She cut it off right before school every year and we permed it!
When I got older I let it grow out to my shoulders but I was always told it made my face look fat 🤪 and I should keep it short.
I went into the hair extension world because I wanted to make people feel beautiful with the transformations. I was blown away by what extensions could create!
So if you’re wondering if I’ll ever go with out my hair, the answer is no!
I’ll be 80 rocking my long hippie hair!!!

I love waking up to facebook memories my cousin shares with me. I believe Tyson has my mom by his side every single day. He is truly an angel placed on this earth ♥️
Thankyou for the cry this morning Chrissy.

13 YEARS BEHIND THE CHAIR?!
How did that even happen?
What started as a passion turned into a career… and somehow became my entire personality 😅
In 13 years, I’ve seen it all:
✨ First-time blondes
✨ Midlife bangs
✨ Breakup bobs
✨ “Just a trim” that turned into a therapy session
✨ And enough foil to wrap the entire block.
I’ve grown so much—not just in skill, but in confidence, in connection, and in the way I show up for the people who sit in my chair. It’s never just about the hair. It’s about her. Or him. It’s about the story, the transformation, the trust.
To every single client who’s trusted me with their crown over the years—thank you. You’ve helped shape my life in more ways than you know. 💛
Here’s to the next chapter (and probably another 500 cans of texture spray).

Happy 21st Birthday Big D
Watching you grow into a man and figure life out has been such a special experience.
I know I have been hard on you through the years but it’s only because I only want you to do better than I ever did!
You have become such a responsible adult the last couple years and I am so dam proud of you kid!
Enjoy young adult life and all fun you get to have. Don’t rush growing up. The bills just get bigger and the responsibilities just get bigger.
This is the first birthday I don’t get to be there for. This is what growing up looks like for moms.
I love you and am wishing you the best birthday 🎉

Feeling like a Million Dollars
Extensions aren’t just about pretty hair.
It’s whole FEELING.
We aren’t all blessed with perfect hair, but it doesn’t mean we can’t have it.
Everyday I connect with women who suffer from hair loss from hormones, alopecia & postpartum hair loss and they are seeking help to feel beautiful.
All my clients are completely beautiful as they are, but when a woman doesn’t feel beautiful it effects them deeper then you know. If you’re a woman I knew you feel me on this.
But, make her feel amazing and she will conquer the world.
Amanda has been wearing extensions for 3 years. She has never been able to wear Extensions because her hair couldn’t handle the other methods. So she wore wigs for years.
I love to see her huge smile after we do a move up and style her up.
She turns into a sassy, confident woman.
And that’s why I do what I do!
My girl is wearing 3 rows of Extensions

MY WHY
I left a marriage that was full of lies, deception, manipulation and drugs.
I remember walking away because after 2 years I couldn’t keep going down a road of self destruction any longer.
That little boy deserved better and I was trying to figure out how to do it on my own.
The trials I went through as a single mom with no financial help from child support or state assistance. I acted like I didn’t need the help and that I was this proud independent woman. When deep down I was dying on the inside but made sure to keep showing up for that little boy.
Even now that he is grown, moved out and doing his own thing, you never stop worrying or stop being a mom.
The reason I have always had a drive to work hard is to set standards and expectations and the only way to teach is to lead by example. I wanted to break the mold of generational issues. I want to show him what is possible even when life is hard and throws a lot of pain into your life. You can either learn and grow and use that as motivation or dwell on every hard thing that has ever slowed you down and blame others for your shortcomings l.
Your children are a reflection of who you are. And I am proud of the person he has become.
