Now that I’ve officially shared Sol Academy, I want to introduce someone special!

Meet Avery!! My very first cosmetology apprentice! ✨

Avery actually came into my life as a client, and our conversations quickly led to talking about apprenticeships and her dream of pursuing cosmetology. Those conversations gave me the extra little push I needed to finally go after something I’d been thinking about for years! 🤍

I’ll forever be grateful to Avery for believing in me, encouraging me to go for it, and trusting me to be the one to teach her. We hit it off from the very beginning, which made the decision to take her on as my first apprentice an easy one. She has been so patient and amazing through this whole process while I’ve worked to get everything in place, and I couldn’t be more excited that we finally get to do this together.

I’m so excited to teach her everything I can, watch her confidence and skills grow behind the chair, help her discover what she loves about this industry, and eventually watch her become a licensed cosmetologist.

This is new for both of us in different ways, and I have a feeling we’re going to learn a lot together. I can’t wait to share pieces of our journey along the way.

Remember back in April when I said I had something exciting coming? 🥹🤍 I’m so excited to finally share!

Introducing Sol Academy ✨

This is something I’ve dreamed about for years, and over the past several months, I’ve been tirelessly working behind the scenes to bring it to life. It feels surreal to finally say that Sol Salon Collective is officially an approved cosmetology apprenticeship salon.

After 15 years in the industry, I’m so excited to step into this new role. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned while helping someone build their own career behind the chair.

I’ll be learning and growing alongside my student and I couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter for me and for Sol. 🤍

Sol Academy is officially here and I can’t wait to share my apprentice with you! ✨
