Long Post

I’ve made the decision to stop braiding hair. Before some of you take this and run with it, it has NOTHING to do with where I was or the people I was around! I got along well with my co-workers. I’ve spoken to the boss and he understands my reasons and we have no problems at all and I thank him for understanding! Now, the main reason is to spend more time with my daughter because she requires more of my time now that she’s getting older. When I told her I’d be starting back soon she was saying how she wouldn’t get to spend much time with me, which is true because I’d barely see her on days I’d have appointments. Some weeks I’d do hair almost everyday, getting home late. So with my extra time I’ll be spending it with family and just simply resting. I owe that to my daughter. If I were to start back it would be from home so my daughter can be with me and it would be people I seen as my regular clients. It would be nothing like how I accepted appointments before…meaning it would not be an everyday thing! Also, with my braiding license I can braid from my home or from a salon so there’s no issue there. TJ’s Barbershop Beauty Salon will always be special to me because as a stylist I grew there and got to experience salon life. I’ll always be appreciative of the opportunity to come on as part of the crew. It’s like an extended family…and that won’t go away!
