In the past 6 years of business I’ve rarely ever had no call no shows. One of the reasons why I have never had to start a cancellation policy. Unfortunately in the past month I have experienced more no call no shows than I have ever before.
I completely understand that life happens. Things come up, emergencies happen, schedules change and sometimes you simply cannot make your appointment. It to happens to me sometimes and this is why I never felt like I needed to be strict on cancellations.
What is hard for my small business is when someone makes an appointment and then does not communicate that they can’t make their appointment.
When you book an appointment with me, that time is specifically reserved for you. I’ve turned away other clients and set aside time to provide you with my services. When someone doesn’t show up, that time and the income that comes with it cannot be recovered.
This isn’t meant to punish anyone or make anyone feel bad. It’s simply a necessary step in protecting my time, my business, and the livelihood I’ve worked so hard to build.
I will always have grace for unexpected situations - I just ask that you communicate with me. Even a quick text or call to let me know you can’t make it is greatly appreciated.

To ensure appointments are reserved for committed bookings, clients who are not currently established with me or who have not maintained an appointment within the past 6–8 weeks will now be required to provide a $50 deposit at the time of booking.

The deposit will be applied toward your service total at the time of your appointment. Thank you for understanding and respecting my time, and continuing to support my small business.

☀️ Things to Look for in a Sunscreen ☀️
When choosing a sunscreen, look for active ingredients such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. These mineral ingredients sit on top of the skin and help protect against harmful UV rays.
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. SPF 30 blocks about 97% of UVB rays, while SPF 50 blocks about 98%. When you use a sunscreen that is more than 50 the ingredients start containing chemicals that your body is not a fan of.
I personally recommend choosing a mineral sunscreen whenever possible.
The best face sunscreen is the one you'll wear consistently every day! 🌞

This past week reminded me how challenging it can be to balance motherhood and a small business. There were a couple of days where I had to put my mom hat on first and cancel appointments last minute, and my clients met me with so much understanding and grace.
Thank you for supporting me not only as a business owner, but also as a mom through both of the joyful and difficult seasons. Because of your support, I get to live out my dream of doing work I love while still being present for the moments that matter most with my family. I love you guys 🥹🫶🏼

Green Envee took almost 8 months reformulating their sun shield serum and it was worth the wait. It’s easy to use and also has anti aging ingredients in it as well. It is slightly tinted and gives you the best dewey looking skin. You mix 1 pump in with your daily moisturizer and you are good to go!
