Did you know Deep Tissue doesn’t need to hurt to be affective at releasing tension. If your holding your breath thinking you just need to bare through it because your body needs it. This belief is actually making it more difficult for your massage therapist to manipulate those muscles and release them. As you hold your breath your are also constricting many muscle within your body. This can also increase your soreness the following day.

Soreness the following day is very common and normal because we had just broken up muscle fibers that were stuck and were moving metabolic waste and lymph and increasing blood flow to an area that had been restricted.
