okay so admittedly I forgot to film anything from our first session🫣BUT WE GOT SOOO MUCH RED OUT!!
let me catch you up to speed: my lovely birthday twin here has been a deep, dark red velvet color since I first started doing her hair over four years ago!!! she messaged me awhile back about wanting to go closer to her natural with blonde dimension. we talked a LOT about making sure we keep her hair healthy and long through this process, so we’re taking it low and slow babey😎
the first session we focused on breaking up as much pigment as possible and getting some of the red to budge. she left with her hair definitely lighter, but still VERY red.
and after the second session 🥁🥁🥁 WE GOT BROWN AND SOME DIMENSION🥳🥳🥳which is a HUGE WIN! we are breaking through yearsssss of DARK and RED pigment, so seeing some subtle dimension and a warmer, natural brown, made me so so happy🥹

-redken dry texture spray 😍 my beloved! she is my FAAAAVORITE. for forever and always ♾️ the dry shampoo in the spray gives your hair a little bit of something to give it extra vavavoom, without making it heavy, gritty, or crunchy.

this lovely lil lady wanted to feel all over blonder and brighter, so of COURSE I had to deliver🪄
previously, we opted for balayage over highlights so she could go a bit longer in between appointments and have an easier outgrowth, but she decided she wanted to get rid of as much dark as possible! I switched from balayage with a bit of a money piece to packing those foils in there to get her as blonde as possible while still having dimension. we wanted it to be bright and compliment her natural without being too yellow or too ashy…I think we nailed it!
