🌿My Yoga Journey🌿

Yoga has been a source of grounding in my life for the past two decades. 🧘‍♀️ I took my first class in high school and practiced at home long before I ever owned a mat.

I watched videos of instructors teaching in beautiful outdoor settings with peaceful music in the background while I slowly learned the poses of Sun Salutation A.

There has always been something about yoga that felt sacred to me and like it belonged in my life. I’ve struggled with anxiety since I was a teenager, so any practice that invites stillness, breath, and presence has always felt deeply healing for a nervous system that naturally tends toward fight-or-flight.

In 2015, I enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training fully believing I would never teach. I did it for my own growth because I felt lost and stuck in unhealthy patterns. It was my way of climbing out of the trenches and finding my way back to myself.

Looking back, YTT was one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever given myself. It helped realign me with my values and gave me tools that I’ve continued to lean on through every phase of life.

People often say yoga is a lifelong practice, and I’ve found that to be true. This past year, after navigating significant health challenges, my understanding of yoga has deepened even further. I’ve witnessed firsthand how closely our bodies, emotions, and stress are intertwined, and it’s given me an even greater appreciation for the healing potential of this practice.

Earlier this year, I began teaching restorative, slow flow, and yin yoga at 💛

I don’t teach because I have everything figured out. I teach because yoga has carried me through some of the hardest moments of my life, and if I can help create a space where someone else feels a little more grounded, more at home in their body, or a little less alone, that feels like a meaningful way to give back to my community.

I love because it makes yoga accessible, inclusive and fun. Catch me at a pop up event or in the studio 😊 I’d be honored to share my practice with you.
