This was the most extensive color correction of my 20 year career!

First step: try to even out all the blotchy and banded color. Then, I went through and highlighted and toned to get her back to a more natural and even color.

This actually felt like a miracle! Thank you hair gods 🙌

Something I never considered when choosing to do hair for a living; the impact I would have on other people’s lives aside from doing their hair.
I’ve built relationships with my clients and have made my chair a safe space for them to feel comfortable to share their life with me. I don’t understand or have solutions for all their life situations, but I will always, ALWAYS be a loving and supportive ear. And that might be my favorite part about what I do ❤️

I’m probably not allowed to say this, the equivalent of a parent claiming a “favorite child”… but this is Sharlene, she’s 92 and my favorite client! She’s my newest and oldest client. I see her every week for a shampoo and style. She’s sweet, kind, smart, funny and has so much life wisdom to share. I don’t know how many hairstylists have the ability to work with older individuals, but she has been a true treasure to find my chair ❤️
