Seeing Is Believing.

When something is good, it's just good. Tonight, I'd love to share some personal and amazing photos with you, Spa Tribe, about a new product we now carry that WILL change your skin. I had no idea what was about to happen. Nor did I think these photos would ever make it anywhere other than my phone. Which is exactly why you can see my pajama pants. 🤓

It's called Plated Skin Science, it uses exosomes, and what it did for me in one night, well, I still have a hard time believing. So if your skin is uneven, red, discolored, wrinkled or just plain tired-looking, keep reading.

I burnt my hand one evening making salmon (mmmm, salmon piccata🤤) by grabbing the handle of a pan I had in a 400 degree oven, (genius) and let's just say, I honestly didn't think I'd be able to work the next day. It hurrrrt. l don't remember the last time I felt a pain like that.

Even after a few hours of icing and cancelled plans for the night - the second the ice melted my hand went right back to screaming in pain. I reached out to my team and told them what was happening and that I wasn't sure if I'd be in the next day. The thought of giving a facial with a burn in the middle of my palm was nauseating. The timing of all this was a little crazy because we had JUST met with a rep from a potential new skin care line (Plated) a couple days earlier, so when Esthetician Kate came up with a brilliant idea and said "put some Plated on it," I took her advice.

Here's what happened.....

This was after hours of icing.

20 min. post Plated application directly to the burn, my index and thumb turned BRIGHT red (and tingly) with a strange line of demarcation down the side. Things were obviously happening under the surface of the skin. This was a little off-putting to be honest with you, I wasn't sure what was going on here and was a bit concerned.

30-40 min after Plated application, redness calming but spreading throughout my hand, I was able to stop icing at this point - yes!

Spa Tribe! Karen here... Maybe I'm a little crazy. Maybe one would think I'm pushing the boundaries a bit by putting this new Astrology twist on skin treatments. But maybe, just maybe, it will be one of the most unique spa experiences you've ever had. What I do know, is that I'll never know if I don't try. And you'll never know, if you don't. What I've learned in 15 years of working full time as an Esthetician is that personalizing your individual treatment is a quality that gives better outcomes and makes people feel seen and heard. Generic, assembly line spa services with pre-dosed, predetermined protocols were never real skin treatments, in my opinion, in the first place. They might make you feel relaxed and pretty but there's no depth to it. No customization. No room for improvising. No real results. It's part of why I opened up shop in the first place.

Things To Know

✨Because this treatment takes so much time to prepare out of the spa, I will ask for 48 hours to prepare your your chart before your appointment. Same day bookings won't work with this one and I will have to strictly enforce the cancellation policy of full payment if cancelling within 48 hours. But you guys are all amazing, I don't think I've had to enforce that thing once.

✨This is a 2 hour treatment, we can't rush this level of personalization and relaxation, so give yourself plenty of time.

✨In order to prepare a proper chart, I'll need your Birth Date, Birth Time, Birth City and State for accuracy.

✨A form will be sent to you electronically when you book your appointment that has all of the questions I need answered, including Birth Time.

✨If you don't know your birth time, please write 12:00 pm on the questionnaire sent to you.
⭐⭐⭐ Note: your chart won't be as accurate without this information, so please try to locate your birth certificate in that one drawer, inside of that one folder you forgot you put it in the last time you needed it, 10 years ago.

✨Because of the infancy of this new treatment model, I (Karen) will be the only one performing these treatments for the time being. We'll keep you posted as we expand this.

Thinning Hair Suuucks.

There are so many reasons for hair loss, how do I know which one I have?

-If you're unsure of why your hair is thinning, it's a good idea to run it by your doctor to A - make sure you're glowing and healthy on the inside and B - to find the root cause of the issue so you can begin to course correct.

How Many Will I need?

I've been bald for 10 years, will this help?
-Yes but you may need more than one series. Everyone is different.

What do I need to do to prepare?
-Come in with completely DRY and freshly SHAMPOOED hair. Please DO NOT put product on your scalp. This will BLOCK the Plasma and potentially create irritation from the chemicals in the unknown hair products you use. That's it.
