Refined Aesthetics
Hey! I'm Tara. Im a licensed cosmetologist, Permanent Make-up Artist, & Master HydraFacialist
What it feels like talking to a new skincare client…
Like being part esthetician, part detective. 🔎✨
Every answer tells a story, and every clue helps me understand why your skin is behaving the way it is.
I want to know what products you’re using, how long you’ve been using them, your lifestyle, stress levels, hormones, medications, health history, sun exposure, and what you’ve already tried.
Because clear, healthy skin isn’t about chasing symptoms—it’s about finding the root cause.
The consultation is where I start connecting the dots between your skin, your habits, your environment, and what’s happening beneath the surface.
The more I understand your history, the more personalized your treatment plan becomes. That means choosing the right treatments, the right home care, and setting realistic expectations for your unique skin journey.
Good skin isn’t created by guessing.
It’s created by understanding the whole picture. 🖤
And sometimes the most important part of your facial happens before I ever touch your skin. ✨

A brow refresh is never “just a touch-up.” ✨
Especially when the previous work wasn’t done by me.
Every refresh begins with a conversation. We discuss your goals, your skin, your lifestyle, and why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all refresh timelines.
Every appointment starts with a thorough assessment:
• How your skin has healed
• How the pigment has aged and faded
• The overall health of your skin
• Whether your brows truly need a refresh
I also completely remap and measure your brows because our faces naturally change over time. As we age, our features shift, muscles change, and what suited you a few years ago may not be the most flattering shape today.
This is exactly why I don’t recommend refreshing based on the calendar. Every client’s skin heals, fades, and retains pigment differently. My goal isn’t to tattoo your brows as often as possible—it’s to refresh them only when your skin is ready.
Permanent makeup is an investment, but healthy skin is the foundation of beautiful, long-lasting results. My priority will always be creating brows you love while protecting the integrity of your skin for years to come. 🤍
One of my favorite parts of this work has nothing to do with extractions, serums, or skincare products.
It’s this moment.
The moment a client’s breathing slows.
Their shoulders soften.
Their jaw unclenches.
Their body finally realizes it’s safe enough to rest.
What starts as a facial often becomes something more—a pause from the constant doing, giving, and carrying that so many of us move through every day.
Yes, we’re improving the skin.
But we’re also creating space for the nervous system to exhale.
Because healthy skin thrives when the body isn’t living in survival mode.
And honestly? The best compliment I can get isn’t someone telling me they loved their facial.
It’s when they accidentally fall asleep. 🖤✨
Things estheticians hear every summer: 👀
☀️ “I only wear SPF at the pool.”
☀️ “I don’t burn, I tan.”
☀️ “I work indoors, so I don’t really need sunscreen.”
☀️ “My makeup has SPF, that’s enough.”
☀️ “It’s cloudy today, so I’m good.”
The reality?
A tan is your skin’s defense mechanism—not a sign of health. Every tan is evidence of DNA damage, whether you burn or not.
UV exposure happens on cloudy days.
UV exposure happens driving to work.
UV exposure happens sitting by a window.
And that damage adds up over time.
There is no such thing as a safe base tan. There is no such thing as building a protective tan.
Your best anti-aging product isn’t the serum on your shelf—it’s the sunscreen you’re willing to wear consistently.
Wear the SPF. Your future skin will thank you. ☀️🖤
If Vitamin C isn’t part of your morning routine yet… consider this your sign. 🍊✨
Vitamin C is one of the hardest-working ingredients in skincare, and for good reason.
✨ Brightens dull skin
✨ Helps fade dark spots and post-acne marks
✨ Supports healthy collagen production
✨ Protects against free radicals caused by UV rays and pollution that contribute to premature aging
Think of it this way: your SPF helps shield your skin from UV damage, while Vitamin C helps defend against environmental stress and supports healthier, more radiant skin over time. They work even better together.
The key is finding the right Vitamin C for your skin and using it consistently. Healthy skin isn’t built overnight—it’s built through the small things you do every day. 🤍

Girl to girl… if you’ve been filling in the same faded brows every morning, it might be time for a refresh. ✨
This color boost brought life back into her existing brows, restoring shape, depth, and definition while still keeping them soft and natural.
Brows frame the entire face, and sometimes a subtle refresh is all it takes to help you feel more confident, more polished, and a little more like yourself again. 🖤
