With much thought and consideration and many tears, we have decided to close Amici Salon. Desiree is retiring from doing hair and Erin has found a wonderful new salon home. Our doors will close for good the last week of October 2022. Thank you ALL for the many years of support, loyalty and love. You really have made the past 23 years the best I could ask for. ❤️

We have had a soft opening this week. We are currently calling back and booking clients that already had appointments booked from March 25 to last week. If you have not been called by this Friday afternoon, May 29th. and need an appointment please call and leave a message after Friday. We will call you back and get you back on the schedule!! We are so excited to see all of you!!!

Here is what we know today.

WHO WANTS DIBS ON THE FIRST APPOINTMENTS WHEN WE OPEN UP?

For the rest of May, or until we reopen (if before May 31) We will be having a raffle. $25 puts you in the running to be one of the 5 names that will be drawn, those 5 people will be the FIRST to get a call to schedule their appointments when we reopen.
What will this money be used for? It is going to be divided evenly between all service providers at Amici Salon and Spa. Your raffle ticket money will help our girls buy sanitation supplies, PPE (masks, gloves, capes, aprons..etc.) and anything else that is required of us in order to safely follow the new regulations and restrictions. We will have to cut back on the number of clients that we see in a day due to limiting the amount of people in the salon and having adequate time to sanitize between clients. We will need to have a lot more supplies on hand so we can sanitize properly Between clients. We want to thank you all for the kind messages and cards and posts!! We feel your love and support! We miss you and can’t wait to get back to business!!!

A little update

Our governor has now extended the stay at home order to continue until at LEAST May 8th. Please check back for updates.

**Update 4-23-20**

We are carefully watching and staying updated on the states that will be reopening their salon and spa industry first. We hope that you are patient with us in trying to understand and facilitate how this will affect us in NC. If any Salon does not follow the new regulations that will be put in place, they could be shut down indefinitely. That is very a scary possibility. So we must be very careful how we do things when we are allowed to re-open. Some things that are required in other states include:
•Stylists must wear mask, face shield gloves and a new smock for every client.
•Stylists would take temperature of clients as the walk in.
•Clients must wait in their vehicles until it is their turn.
•Clients would wear a mask during service. And have eyes, mouth and nose covered during shampoo. Suggested that they shampoo hair at home before arriving.
•Shampoo bowls and any porous fabric be covered in plastic.
This is just a few restrictions on multiple pages of requirements. We all know how hard it is right now to find PPE and the cost of these things when you do find them is disheartening when you haven’t worked for a month and have received zero unemployment benefits because self employed are not eligible until the 25 of this month. We are asking that you be patient and we will let you know on this page when we have a confirmed date and figured out how to do this legally and cost effectively. Please don’t bombard your service providers with emails and texts about when you can get your service done. We will let you know when we know. It causes more stress and anxiety in an already uncertain and unprecedented situation. We don’t know, and we would rather not book a bunch of appointments that we would need to reschedule yet again. We love and appreciate you ALL and we can’t wait to get back to our normal lives. We miss you and appreciate you SO MUCH!!!!!
