Great day in the woods today foraging. The rain really helped to bring out many different beautiful species of fungi.

Today I attended a foray walk with the Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club at Kinzua Bridge State Park. We had a great turn out and found many different species of mushrooms to identify.

“Hooked on Suds & Shrooms” has been quite active lately. I've been occupied in the woods foraging and tending to my herbal garden, which supplies the ingredients for my artisanal soaps. 🧼 A new sign has been erected, and I've produced a fresh batch of soaps. My latest creations include the following bars: Forest Bar, featuring pine, eucalyptus, morel, and reishi mushroom, which provides gentle exfoliation while leveraging the antifungal and antimicrobial properties of dried mushrooms that I've harvested myself. The Beach Bar combines coconut and vanilla pineapple scents. Our best-selling Patchouli, Charcoal & Turmeric bar remains popular. Additionally, I offer a Jewelweed Bar, specifically designed to help alleviate the discomfort of poison ivy by removing the urushiol oil from the skin, making it an essential item for any medicine cabinet, particularly for my husband who frequently succumbs to poison ivy. More soap scents are currently curing and will be ready for sale in two weeks. Please text to arrange for porch pickup or feel free to browse the cabinet on the porch at your convenience. To maximize the longevity of your soap, be sure to purchase a soap saver.
