I remember when I was young being asked what my grandpa did for the military. I told people he was “a plumber or something”. I truly had no idea and took my best guess. As I got older I realized he was actually an E9, Chief Master Sergeant. 🪖🎖️

Woah, was I off. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don’t know much about military rankings but I did learn that this was the highest ranking someone could reach as an enlisted personnel without a college degree. Only 1% can hold this position at any one time. He also served in the army and navy but the Air Force was always his favorite. I am forever proud being able to call him my “Papa”. 🇺🇸❤️❤️
