Good afternoon babes 😁😁 Welcome to the first part in anew series I’m calling Workshop Wednesday!! In this series you will get educated on natural lash health, extension maintenance, and product recommendations!!

This week we’re taking a dive into the biology side of the eyelash growth cycle!! Did you know that there are three phases that your lashes could be in at any point? Those three phases are Anagen, Catagen, and Telogen. 🤯

The first phase is the Anagen phase also known as the growing phase. During this time your natural lashes are using a blood supply to fuel their active growth. This phase typically lasts 4-10 weeks and only a small portion of lashes are in this phase at a time.

Next is the Catagen phase also known as the transition phase. By now your natural lashes are at their full length and stop growing by shrinking the hair follicle and cutting the fuel supply. This phase lasts 2-3 weeks before moving to the final stage. Do be mindful that any natural lash removed in this stage won’t grow back until it’s time for the Anagen phase.

And last but not least is the Telogen phase also known as the shedding phase. Here is where those new lashes start to slowly fall out to prepare for the new growth cycle. You’ll be in this phase for 4-8.
