A study published in The Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology tested vitamin K2 (menaquinone-4) and the active form of vitamin D3, called calcitriol [1,25(OH)₂D3], on three triple-negative breast cancer cell lines: SUM159PT, Hs578T and MDA-MB-453. Vitamin K2 alone reduced the number of viable cancer cells in SUM159PT and MDA-MB-453 cells, but not in Hs578T cells. Active vitamin D3 also slowed cancer-cell growth by causing cells to stop or slow their normal cycle of division.

When researchers combined vitamin K2 with active vitamin D3, the combination produced stronger effects than either treatment alone in some of the cancer cells. In SUM159PT and Hs578T cells, the combination reduced viable cell numbers by about 40% after 96 hours. The combination also caused cell-cycle arrest in all three cell lines and affected stem-like cancer-cell features linked to tumor growth and recurrence. However, this was a laboratory cell study, not a human clinical trial, so it does not show that taking vitamin D3 and K2 supplements can treat breast cancer in people.

Learn from someone else’s story.🙏🏼🤍

In one of her most honest reflections, Friends icon Courteney Cox opened up about one of her biggest personal regrets: the years she spent getting facial fillers before realizing how much they had changed her appearance.

Courteney admitted that it started slowly. Small touch-ups felt normal at the time, but over the years, she began to lose sight of how different she looked. What felt subtle to her was much more noticeable to the people around her.

“I messed up a lot. You don’t realize you look a little off, so you keep doing more. Thank God they’re removable,” she shared.

Eventually, after looking back at older photos, Courteney realized how far things had gone. In recent years, she chose to dissolve most of the fillers and embrace aging more naturally.

“Now I’m just older, and that’s okay,” she beautifully said.

That honesty is exactly why fans have always loved her. Courteney has never been afraid to speak about aging, beauty standards, motherhood, and the pressure women face in Hollywood.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that real beauty is not about chasing youth. It is about finally feeling comfortable in your own skin.

Courteney, who celebrated her 62nd birthday on June 15, 2026, remains one of television’s most beloved stars, from Friends to Scream and Shining Vale.

We beeeeen sayin’… looks like they finally got the memo💌

The past few years in beauty have been characterized by human intervention in service of an un-human look—overly pillowy lips, complexions buffed to a robot-like shininess, sharply contoured cheeks.

Now, judging by evidence from runway beauty trends and doctors’ offices, we are back in an era of looking merely mortal.

At the link in comments, we spoke to doctors, experts, and makeup artists about how and why many people have begun to course-correct the cosmetic work they've had done.
