As we wrap up a week of celebrating 50 years in business in Henry County, I can’t end it without celebrating the team that is carrying Selah into this next generation. ❤️

I’m so grateful for every person who has ever been part of our story, but I have to brag on the team we have right now. They serve so sacrificially, work incredibly hard, and genuinely care for one another and our guests. I rarely hear a complaint—they just show up, jump in, and get it done.

It’s the little things that tell you so much about a team… someone offering in the group chat to grab Starbucks for everyone, our Friday Barnett’s cookie runs, helping each other when someone is behind, and always having each other’s backs. There is a spirit of generosity here that you simply can’t teach.

I’m especially thankful for the wisdom and loyalty of Tina, who has served this company for over 30 years. What a gift it has been to grow together and reach a place of such trust.

And Kim Dickerson and Andrea Payne—thank you for leading and loving this business like it’s your own. You have both given so much of your heart to Selah, and it shows in ways you probably don’t even realize.

I truly believe we are stepping into such a special season. I can’t wait to see what the next two years bring as we continue to grow, learn, dream bigger, and even travel the world together with Davines!

To my entire team: thank you for believing the best in each other, serving each other, and choosing to grow together. When you have this kind of work ethic, generosity, trust, and genuine care for people, there is no telling what you can accomplish—for yourselves, for Selah, and for this community.

Here’s to the next generation of Selah.

My Family ❤️ My sister and my niece came in to celebrate! Kara grew up as a salon kid!

Growing up, my sister was basically my real-life baby doll because she’s 10 years younger than me. I got to dress her up, and as she got older, I made her do all my cheerleading routines with me. 🤣 We are definitely opposites in so many ways, but we are also fiercely protective of each other.

Kara, I love the woman you are, and I’m so proud to call you my sister—even though you chose the dog-grooming industry instead of the hair industry. 😂 She says the more logical choice… animals don’t complain! 🤣 Also, she has always been the animal whisperer! If you know my sister, you KNOW how true that statement is!

We grew up in the hair business our entire lives. Kara ran the front desk for many years, has helped me with inventory more times than I can count, & has been an artisan in our boutique. She is insanely creative and an entrepreneur herself. She has helped others build their businesses and has successfully built a grooming business.

I’m so proud of the businesswoman she is, but even more proud of the life she has built and the mother she is to her 3 beautiful daughters.

Thank you for being my baby sister forever. I love you, Kara! ❤️

Still celebrating 50 years! ❤️

I know you probably recognize the guy on the right…but does anyone recognize the gal on the left? 🥰

Meet Martha Jane—the behind-the-scenes workhorse and business guru who has been one of our family’s biggest cheerleaders and greatest support systems through the years.

She believed in my dad and stood beside him as he built this business, and when it was my turn to take over, she believed in me just as much. She has an incredible amount of wisdom when it comes to business, people, and doing things the right way.

When times get hard, she is the calm in the storm—steady, wise, encouraging, and always there to remind us to keep going.

Martha Jane, we love you so much. ❤️ You have played such a huge part in this 50-year story, and we truly couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to the people behind the scenes who helped build the legacy. ❤️

10/10 on the hair Martha J Davis

I love you,
