A letter from our Founder:

Over Five years ago, I started this company for one simple reason. I wanted to be able to buy my son a car and help pay for his college education. At the time, I never imagined what this journey would become. I certainly never imagined that a company that started with just a couple of people would one day employ more than fifty.

As the business grew, I discovered something about myself that I had not expected. I enjoyed helping people. What started as a way to provide for my family became an opportunity to serve customers, create opportunities for employees, and make a difference in the lives of others. There was a fulfillment in that work that I had never experienced before.

I come from humble beginnings. Although I was surrounded by love, there were also difficult things that existed within the walls of my childhood home. Those experiences shaped me and caused me to build walls around myself for many years. As I spent more time serving others and working in our community, I began to realize that there is far more goodness in this world than I once believed, and I found that goodness through my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I will also be the first to admit that I have made plenty of mistakes along the way. I had never run a business before. Much of what I know today was learned through failure, hard lessons, and the wisdom of mentors who were willing to share their knowledge when I needed it most.

Over the last five years, Gridic grew from two employees to fifty-two. From the outside, that growth looked like success, and in many ways it was. However, somewhere along the journey, I found myself focusing more on growth and revenue than I was focusing on people. The business was getting bigger, but I was slowly moving away from the part of the work that had brought me the greatest sense of purpose in the first place.

Recently, I realized what had been missing. I missed serving people. I missed being present in the community. I missed the relationships that made this journey meaningful. Most importantly, I missed measuring success by the impact we were making rather than the numbers we were producing.

I believe every business owner eventually reaches a point where they have to decide what kind of company they want to build and what kind of legacy they want to leave behind. For me, that decision has become very clear.

As we move into the next chapter of Gridic, our goal is not simply to become larger. Our goal is to become more connected to the people we serve. We want to be the company that homeowners trust when they invite us into their homes, the company that businesses trust when they need a partner they can depend on, and the company that our community knows will always show up with integrity and a servant’s heart.

Revenue will always be important because it allows us to continue growing, creating opportunities, and serving others. However, it can never become the reason we exist. The reason we exist is people.

To every customer, employee, partner, mentor, and friend who has been part of this journey, thank you. Your support has helped shape both this company and the person I have become. I am excited about where we are headed, because I believe the best days for Gridic will not be defined by how large we become, but by how many lives we are able to impact along the way.
