🚨 PARENTS… LET’S TALK ABOUT THE “L” WORD. 🚨
No, not LOVE. 😂
LICE. 🪳

As a seasoned hairstylist, I can tell you that lice can show up when you least expect it—especially during back-to-school season, sleepovers, sports, camps, and playdates.

And before anyone panics… LICE DO NOT MEAN DIRTY! 🙅🏼‍♀️
They don’t care if your child has freshly washed hair. They love CLEAN hair, it’s a great opportunity for the little squatters. 😅

So, how can we help keep them away? 👇🏼

✨ MY TOP LICE-PREVENTION TIPS: ✨

🎀 Keep long hair UP! Braids, buns, ponytails—anything that minimizes hair-to-hair contact.

🪮 NO SHARING! Brushes, combs, hats, helmets, hair accessories, headphones, pillows…if it touches the head, don’t share it!

🔍 CHECK, CHECK, CHECK! Make scalp checks part of your routine, especially after sleepovers or if there’s been an exposure. Pay extra attention behind the ears and around the nape of the neck.

🧴 Don’t panic over every itch! An itchy scalp doesn’t automatically mean lice. If you’re unsure, have it properly checked.

🚨 AND PLEASE, PLEASE TELL YOUR STYLIST!
If you suspect your child has lice, do not bring them into the salon until they’ve been properly treated. Your hairstylist isn’t judging you—we’re protecting your child, our clients, and our salon.

Lice happen. There is NO shame in it. The sooner you catch it, the easier it is to deal with!
