The Gift of Reiki

What is Reiki? Reiki is a relaxation technique that is said to help promote healing . It is a gentle method of hands-on healing that taps into The energy . Reiki is not massage, hypnosis nor a tool for diagnosing illness. Reiki is a technique that addresses both chronic and acute conditions, gently and powerfully promoting balance in body, mind & spirit. To receive Reiki, most people lie on a table fully clothed, comfortable clothing is best, this is usually done in a quite room while listening to gentle music. Little to no pressure is applied and no oil is used. The technique is so adaptable that you can receive Reiki in almost any setting , in a chair or hospital bed and through cast and bandages. Still and focused, the practitioners’ hands are placed on or above the head, shoulders, back, chest, stomach and limbs. Practitioners routinely follow a series of hand positions, or hand placements can be guided by the bodys’ energy centers. What will Reiki Achieve? Though Reiki techniques appear simple, the effects can feel profound. Most people experience deep relaxation. You may also feel tingling, pulsing, a feeling of warmth and comfort, or you may fall asleep. As noted above, Reiki is said to promote healing in body, mind & spirit.
