Thank you all for your amazing support and can’t wait to see each of you again!
We are in this together! ✌🏻

Hope everyone is well. It’s been a month and before you get to anxious about your hair, I am posting some “do it yourself “ tips:

Cutting your bangs:
If you have bangs and they need trimming, you might be inclined to wet them down first — but don't- they will shrink. Cut them dry. Longer than shorter is a good recommendation.

A short basic cut:

Clippers — widely available online if you don't own them — come with detachable guards. The lower the guard number, the more hair that gets trimmed.
People should probably start with a higher guard number. A 3-4 on side and back. Only cut to temple and then Use 5-6 on top or use scissors to blend in. Always go with a longer guard than you first assume.

Cutting thick, curly or wavy hair:
Wavy hair can be very tricky. My advice to hold you through until you get a professional cut at our shop: Cut bangs dry, slowly safely cut around ears, and use product to slick down the volume.

Women who want layers :
To begin, follow these simple steps:
1. Gather hair into a high ponytail. How high depends on the layers you want (which I will discuss below). Always make sure your ponytail is center. Always!
2. Make sure all the hair is flat against your skull and there are no bumps.
3. Flip your head over and grab the end of the ponytail.
4. Cut off the desired amount and remember to cut straight across.

Beard trims:

Again, longer than short is my best advice. You don’t want to have patches of short or no hair. Use a clipper with a guard of 3-4. If you have no clipper, live on the wild side and let it go.
I do not recommend using scissors to trim.

We will get through this and I can not wait to get back to my shop and produce handsomeness with a professionally groomed haircut. I miss my shop, appreciate my clients, miss the lively conversation and friendships made...so very much and hope to be back when government allows. As of now, they are saying May 20 or after... I will be posting as I hear. Stay well, stay safe!

Please remember with any diy haircut or beard trim - LESS is MORE so it doesn’t end up like this picture! 😂🥴

This certainly is an odd Easter! I miss sprucing everyone up for the big festivities of the holiday weekend. I’m sure everyone is getting a bit hairy but hang in there... If you try to trim your own hair to hold you over , just remember- less is more.
Like the first day of spring, this holiday is about hope. I am looking forward to my first day back to work, seeing you all and hope it’s in the near future.
Have a safe, healthy holiday to All! Happy Easter! See you ALL soon! 🌼🐰

Miss my shop and all the wonderful people that walk through the door.
Looking forward to the day the CDC and governor says it’s okay to open the door again!
Until then- stay home , stay safe!

Praying for this world, our country, this state ..
This town, our neighbors.🙏🏻🇺🇸
