The class is not the expensive part.
Doing nothing with the information is.

The return does not come from simply being in the room, taking the notes, feeling inspired, and adding another education date to the calendar.

The return comes from what happens after.
The practice.
The repetition.
The reinforcement.
The plan.
That is how education becomes growth.

If you’re ready to stop hoping the inspiration sticks and start building a plan for what happens after the class, I made this guide for you.

👇Comment GUIDE and I’ll send it your way.

Inside the guide, you’ll also find the invitation to my June 1 workshop, The Class Is Not The Culture, where we’ll go deeper into this conversation.

How many times have we seen this?

The class was good.
The educator was strong.
The team was inspired.

And then a few weeks later, the salon is back in the same rhythm.

Same habits.
Same gaps.
Same frustrations.

Don’t be so hard on yourself.
It doesn’t mean you chose the wrong education.
It means the inspiration needed structure.

I made a free guide for you; the salon owner who has invested in education, supported their team, brought in the classes, and still knows there is more growth available.

The reel version of this was… ambitious.

I had to speed it up to fit under 3 minutes and ended up sounding like a chipmunk with a social impact thesis. 🤪😂

So I made a carousel instead.

The idea is simple:
What if every time we called out a giant, we created twice as much proof for the small businesses, independent brands, educators, and community-rooted organizations doing it better?

Maybe this becomes a 7-day challenge.
Maybe it becomes 30 days.
Maybe it becomes a habit in 90 days.
Maybe it actually makes an impact.

But either way, I’m always here for amplifying voices, supporting small business, and reminding the algorithm that the big brands don’t need all the attention.

Call out the giant.
Then create twice as much proof for the people building something better.

Like it. Share it. Remix it. Make your own version.
Use so we can find each other, share each other, and keep the proof moving.

And don’t forget to follow us &

What if every time we called out a giant, we created twice as much proof for the people building something better?

That’s the idea behind The Social Proof Experiment.

The rules are simple:
1. This is David and Goliath energy. We’re talking about corporations with massive budgets, massive reach, and massive responsibility.

2. Compare the issue to the alternative. If you’re calling out a lack of representation, spotlight businesses and organizations showing what better representation can look like.

3. For every big brand you call out, highlight two small businesses, independent brands, educators, or community-rooted organizations doing it better.

In this example, I’m looking at representation in the beauty industry — and spotlighting two organizations whose work reflects a more expansive, more representative view of the industry we’re actually in:

Call out the giant.
Then create twice as much proof for the people building something better.

‼️Last call: 2 tickets left for Curlsunlocked with in Olympia, WA on April 20.

A precision cutting system for curls means learning how to cut with more intention, clarity, and understanding — not guessing, not winging it, and not relying on a one-size-fits-all approach to texture.

Mahaila’s methodology is what sets this apart. Her fluency with curls, shape, and structure helps you understand not just what to do, but why. She has a way of making textured cutting feel more legible, more deliberate, and more possible.

2 tickets left. That’s it!!!

Some salons keep looking outside for the answer while sitting on real potential inside the room.

The question is not always do we have the talent?
Sometimes it’s are we developing it?

The equinox feels like a good moment to say this:

Sometimes you feel like you’re all over the place and nowhere at the same time.

You have all these parts of you that want to be expressed, but no clear sense of how the pieces fit together.

You know there is more there, but you cannot always see the path.

Sometimes that turns into imposter syndrome, holding back or trying to figure out what people want from you instead of listening to what you actually have to say.

That’s what uncertainty feels like.
That’s what happens when things aren’t clear.

Let this equinox be the moment you stop spinning, overthinking, trying to package yourself into what you think people want and sitting on your ideas because you can’t see how they fit.

You need perspective.
You need clarity.
You need someone who can see the whole picture, help you put the pieces together, and show you a path forward.

Someone who sees your wholeness, reveres your artistry, sees your potential and can help you shape it into something clear, honest, and powerful.

That is the work I love to do.

To honor the equinox, I’m offering 20% off my Education Mentorship Calls and In House Audit Calls through March 23.

Education Mentorship Calls are for artists and educators who need help getting clear on their ideas, voice, education, offers, or next move.

In-House Audit Calls are for salon owners who want to build a sustainable in-house education program and need a deep dive into what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to be in place to create something long-term in the salon.

Styling shouldn’t have to rescue the cut.

Ever find yourself spending more time styling…
because the foundation of the cut isn’t quite right?

More diffuser.
More round brush.
More “let me just tweak this.”

What if the style was already visible in the haircut?

That’s the foundation of The Art of Dry Cutting.

In her workshops, teaches artists how to work with natural movement while practicing modern silhouettes like:

• Mullets
• Shags
• Bobs
• Layers

— building the confidence to cut the hair so it already belongs.

Now booking March 2026 and beyond.

👇Comment “Universe” and we’ll send you the Artist Call link to explore bringing her to your salon.
