First things first! Any use of red light therapy is beneficial to your health. However, there may be a few ways you can modify your red light use to achieve even more benefits than you currently receive!

1. Consider time of day! For some people, using red light in the evening may alter your circadian rhythm and affect your sleep. If this applies to you, consider using your red light in the morning or early afternoon!

2. Don’t limit yourself to only one location! While red light treatment can be used directly on points of pain, it’s important to remember it can also be used on the thyroid, gut, and other mitochondria-rich areas for systemic benefits!

3. Use with consistency! Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see big change after just one use. Commit to using your red light multiple times a week for at least 6 weeks to see consistent benefit! Mitochondrial level changes take time!

4. Keep light hygiene in mind while using your red light device! We don’t want to minimize red light’s benefits by making it compete with the blue light from phones or other hand held electronics. So consider ditching overhead LED lights and devices while using your red light!
