Excited to get this salon furniture unearthed from the plastic home they’ve been living in for a few years. 🫣🥹 I promise you guys…….it’s this year for sure! It’s finally the “right” time. ✨✨✨

I don’t think I ever truly introduced myself on this page.
My name is Dana Cecil. You may know me as Dana Nail Ju**ie. I own and operate DNJ right around the corner from where City Block Salon is opening. It’s myself and four talented nail artists that independently work in the nail service business. We all specialize in nail art and love what we do!
•I have been in the beauty business for about 18 years.
•I am married to my charming contractor (😜) We have been married for 20 years. He does ALL of the work within Nail Ju**ie & City Block. All while busting his behind at his regular job as an IronWorker. 🫶🏼
•We have two busy teen girls that I run around everywhere! They are my best friends. 💕💕
Back to business:
•City Block was created in my mind before I secured the location.
•Nail Ju**ie & City Block are joined spaces within the building, so you will be able to walk to and from each space inside.
•There are 8 exclusive hair stations for rent.
•I don’t have an opening date yet. But it’s getting there!

A couple more accents and the exterior of City Block Salon is done! So that means as soon as we get everything done inside, we can open! It’s still going to take some time. I want it to be absolutely perfect! 🤌🏼

✨City Block Salon might not be open yet, but we are so ready for spooky season!👻

✨We received one of three salon furniture shipments a little over a week ago and I cannot wait to share everything with you all!!! Tomorrow we get the second shipment and the third will be sometime next month. Things are getting going again and I’m putting a mood board together with grand opening ideas and some really exciting things!!✨

✨This past week I saw a lady stop in front of City Block’s window, look at it and say, “Just what this town needs is a new salon.” Not offended, I totally get it, but here’s the deal, City Block isn’t even finished yet. I’m pouring my heart and soul into this place and taking all the time we need. For this community. For the clients that need it, and for the stylists that need it. I can assure you that City Block won’t be just another salon that this town doesn’t need. It’s going to be a place of peace, and culture, and artistry. It’s going to be a safe work environment. A fun place to be yourself. So please, let me finish it first. 🤍 City Block won’t be like the salons we already have in town. I cannot wait to share it with my community!!!

•Our community has salons. Yes, multiple ones. And they all serve their people well. They are needed. Much needed. We are an industry of selflessness. We give to our clients like they are our family.

So many times we worry about choices. Big or small. If you truly want something, all you have to do is envision it. It always ends up being something amazing.
