🔒 YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS
When you come in for a massage, we may talk about more than sore muscles.
You might tell me about an injury, surgery, medical diagnosis, medication, stress, chronic pain, or something happening in your personal life. That information helps me understand what your body is experiencing and how to provide safe, appropriate care.
And I take your privacy seriously.
HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, established federal standards for protecting certain health information and limiting how it can be used or shared.
In my practice, confidentiality is an important part of the therapeutic relationship. I treat the personal and health information you share with care and discretion.
That means I don’t casually discuss who comes to see me, what you’re being treated for, or the personal details you share during a session.
I believe trust is part of good bodywork.
You should be able to walk into a treatment room, talk openly about what’s going on with your body, and know that your privacy is respected.
Because professional massage therapy isn’t only about technique.
It’s also about creating a safe, respectful environment where you feel comfortable to let go and heal🤍

💆♀️ Yes, your scalp can hold tension and even has trigger points.
The scalp contains layers of connective tissue and muscles that interact with the forehead, temples, jaw, and back of the head. Just like other areas of the body, these tissues can become tense and sensitive.
What can contribute to scalp tightness?
• Stress and prolonged muscle tension
• Jaw clenching or teeth grinding
• Tightness through the neck and upper shoulders
• Head-forward posture
• Repetitive facial tension
• Headaches and migraine-related muscle tension
• Even consistently wearing tight hairstyles, hats, or headbands
One area I pay particular attention to is the occipital region is the base of the skull where small muscles help control head and neck movement. Tension in this area can sometimes refer discomfort upward toward the scalp, temples, forehead, and around the eyes.
Massage doesn’t have to stop at the shoulders.
Gentle scalp work, along with treatment of the suboccipitals, temporalis, jaw, neck, and upper shoulders, can be incredibly relaxing to the whole body.
✨ A little relaxation goes a long way.

RIP Dolly 🙏
We loved Dolly Parton for so many things: her big heart, her Grammy-award-winning music, the Christmas specials, and of course, her down-home, Southern cooking. Her savory recipes for stone soup and chicken and dumplings are comfort food favorites—easy to make, with flavors that please the whole family.
The Dolly Parton butterscotch pie caught my eye immediately. It has a smooth, creamy filling and pecans too. Unlike a traditional pecan pie, the nuts are used here to create a crunchy crust. | Get the recipe at the link in the comments ⬇️
