Always remember after you get waxed:
✅ Gently exfoliate the area 3-4 times per week, or every other day, remember exfoliating is key!!! Exfoliating the skin helps to get rid of dead skin buildup and helps release any stubborn hairs from under the skin.
❌ Avoid swimming pools and hot tubs for at least 24-48 hours after your wax.
❌ Do not shave between wax appointments. This leads to inconsistent hair growth patterns and ingrown hairs. Shaving will also slow down the hair thinning process. When you wax, you rip the hair out by the root, therefore growing back smaller and thinner hair every time you wax. Staying consistent leads to thinner hair. Shaving cuts the hair short and does not get to the root of the hair follicle, meaning the hair stays the same thickness because it was cut short, not fully removed from the skin.
❌ Do not do any sweaty activities after your wax. Sweat and open pores is a recipe for skin irritation and ingrown hairs. Going to the gym after your wax is not recommended.
✅ Wear loose fitting clothes after your wax appointment. Tight clothes/underwear can cause ingrown hairs. When your clothes are too tight the hair has no where to grow, so it becomes an ingrown hair.
✅ Stay consistent, make sure you are booking your wax appointment every 4-6 weeks so that you can obtain the best results.
