The importance of choosing an educated extension stylist✨

One thing many people don’t realize is that extension installation is not typically taught in cosmetology school. Becoming a licensed hairstylist does not automatically mean someone has the training needed to safely install and maintain hair extensions.

Proper education and certification matters because incorrect placement installation or maintenance can lead to discomfort, matting, scalp irritation, and even hair loss.

In the second photo, you can see two wefts that were placed too close together and sewn in a way that caused them to be connected. This resulted in severe matting between the two rows and unnecessary tension on the natural hair leading to breakage and hair loss 😢

I became certified in April of 2023 and have continued investing in education to ensure my clients receive extension services that prioritize both beautiful results and the integrity of their natural hair💗
