Youāre not a failure, youāre getting failure advice. ā¤ļø if you agree.
When I first started in private practice, I was that RD handing out carbon copies of the same diet plans to every client who walked through the door.
Did it work? Sometimes it did. But majority of the time I would get either get completely ghosted by the client who couldnāt do it or they would disappear only to show up months or years later filled with shame and rebound weight gain.
Thatās when I learned something I never learned in school or my internship. The issue was not the clients willpower or discipline, it was me; it was the plan.
I canāt help you if I donāt get to know you first; your history, your personality, your lifestyle, your goals, your challengesā¦.its all relevant and real.
Donāt let anyone give you failure cookie cutter advice. You deserve something personalized.
Iām not anti-GLP-1, but I am pro-informed decision. GLP-1s have been life changing for many of my clients, but it could also be inappropriate and come with serious side effects for others. Itās not in your head. Something is happening. But donāt panic - itās temporary.
Focus on habits and behaviors including serious stress management techniques.

My issue is not with how she looks or operates, itās with the messaging. Acting like appearance is earned through discipline creates shame for people whose bodies just do not respond the same way. Period.
