The pressure of eyeliner… one wrong move and it’s over 😂
13+ years in the game and and this part STILL gets me!!

But I’m a pro, so yes—I’ve experienced my fair share of eyeliner drama 😩 And I’ve mastered fixing any eyeliner mess! 🙌🏼

This makeup look was really special to me. I felt it was my responsibility to make the mother of the groom look her absolute best for her son’s big day.

I remember telling her, “You’re going to have so many eyes on you—you are the mother of the groom.”

She didn’t think so, but I knew those moments were coming. So I did what I do best 👩🏻‍🎨✨

While it is the bride and groom’s day, moments like the mother & son dance are unforgettable and Mom deserves to look and feel beautiful from every angle.

My goal is to make sure my clients look picture perfect from every angle. In person and on camera.📸

Before any brush touches the face, I always assess my client’s skin type because beautiful results don’t happen by accident. This client has dry skin and the winter in NYC doesn’t make it better, so my goal was to create a luminous, glass-like finish that looks healthy, hydrated, and glowing from every angle.

Skin prep and product selection are key. I used Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter to create an all over face glow and Dior Backstage Glow Maximizer to enhance the high points of the face and achieve that soft, radiant glow without emphasizing texture or dryness.

For the eyes, we used her own eyeshadow palette by Sisley Paris “Roosewood” which I love doing when clients want to enjoy products they already own. The warm rose-gold tones complemented her complexion perfectly. I finished the eyes with a black gel wing liner, softly smoked out with an espresso brown to create a refined, wearable smoky effect.
