POV: Some days remind you that this career is about so much more than nails!!!

Today filled my heart in the best way.

My first client wasn’t just a client…she’s one of my close friends. She traveled all the way from Atlanta to New York just to sit in my chair again, and it honestly felt like old times. We turned on Netflix, laughed, caught up on life, and did what we’ve always done best… nails. I missed her!!!

Now let’s talk about this set!!! Her inspiration came from one of my absolute favorite nail artists, ATL Nail Tech/Nail Artist (go show her some love because whew 😩👏🏽). That hand-painted face gave me a RUN FOR MY MONEY! I fought for my life on that nail. 🤣 Did I recreate it exactly? Absolutely not. But I gave it everything I had, stayed true to the vibe, and I’m still proud of what we created together.

One thing this industry teaches you is that no matter how long you’ve been doing nails, you’re always a student. There’s always another technique to learn and another artist to admire.

ATL Nail Tech/Nail Artist if you’re reading this… can we schedule a FaceTime class? 😂 Because that face won this round, but I would love to learn it!

My second appointment was another full-circle moment.

The beautiful soul Tamara Bullock I knew and admired back in high school was sitting in my chair over 22 years later, supporting my business and pouring so much encouragement into me. Seeing the incredible woman she’s become fills me with pride. She’s a devoted mother, a powerhouse entrepreneur, and the owner of her own funeral home. I admire her so much, and it meant more than she knows to have her in my chair today.

Days like today remind me that this career has never just been about pretty nails. It’s about relationships, memories, growth, and reconnecting with people who have watched different chapters of your life unfold.

My heart is full. Thank you both for reminding me why I love what I do!!!
