Boone & Ben here, Highland co-founders. We're two best friends hailing from Boulder, CO. Probably caring a little bit too much about what our hair looked like, ew came to the realization that the most accessible hair products available to the public were built with toxic ingredients and using unsustainable practices... And every available natural product simply didn't perform. In the summer of 2021, we decided to joined forces to introduce a new take on modern haircare: hair products crafted using sustainable practices, and earth-based, hair-health promoting ingredients that could ACTUALLY perform and be used as a professional styling alternative. We're also proud 1% for the Planet Member -- this ensures that 1% of all Highland sales are contributed to environmental non-profits committed to protecting our home.

Not long ago, we decided go full speed on a passion project called ‘Highland’. Our “office” was our apartment kitchen. Later, we upgraded to Boone’s basement. It was laughably (and perfectly) scrappy.
Our pipe dream was to build a humanized brand that inspired, innovated, ignored lazy corporate playbooks, and truly improved the days of people everywhere.... even in the smallest of ways.
Today it’s #85 on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing companies in the country.
Seeing our mission reach so many like-minded people around the world still baffles us.
So much more to do and we couldn’t be more excited. Thank you to all for helping us get here. So much love❤️🔥
