Healthy kids aren’t lucky. Here’s what they do.
One of the most overlooked habits for keeping kids well this school year? Protecting their skin starting with their hands.
Constant handwashing at school is essential, but it strips the skin and leaves it dry, cracked, and vulnerable. And that broken skin barrier is where germs get in.
Here’s the technique I recommend:
💧 Wash hands well
💧 Pat dry - don’t rub
💧 While hands are still slightly damp, apply a pump of Mustela USA Hydra Bébé cream to lock in moisture.
That’s it. Clean, protected, healthy skin and a stronger barrier against everything going around the classroom.

Our latest Mustela 101 with BabyBjörn US & CA + WISE WONDER | Early Literacy NYC was all about learning, connecting, and keeping little ones close. We spent the morning soaking up expert babywearing tips from Center For Babywearing Studies, getting personalized carrier fittings, asking lots of questions, and sharing the sweetest moments together.
There’s something so special about watching parents and caregivers leave feeling a little more confident, supported, and connected in their babywearing journey 🤭💙
