The Paint Box turns 10 today! 🎉
A whole decade together!!😭

The journey started 13 years ago when I left city salons and began coloring hair in my Brooklyn apartment.
Some of you followed me from one of Manhattan's best salons, and can vividly recall those early days in my home studio. Remember me hauling the 5-gallon bucket of water to be heated for shampooing and the crazy noises that sink would make? 😄

Soon, I found a space to rent, transformed it with the helping hands of my incredible family, and the original Paint Box came to life.
It was full of character, and I quickly built an amazing little team that we still know and love to this day. The Paint Box OGs🩷🤍

Welcoming clients, hosting hair painting classes, and traveling around the country to teach fellow colorists expanded our horizons and brought much inspiration to my little shop.

After 7 years, the Greenpoint lease ended, leading us to our new salon space, which opened in July 2020. The support, warmth, and overall encouragement from our clients, and friends have made it a wonderful home these last years.

A decade of being a small business owner has taught me many lessons, from all the mistakes to countless celebrations.

Our AMAZING clients are the heart of it all. The reason we continue to do what we love!
