…is this real life!?

Last night I was nominated for the HAIR AWARDS] Top 100 for the Overall Haircut category. Out of 7,494 entries, I made the cut.

Last year was my first time attending and I was in awe by the amount of talent in this industry and was so inspired to take my shot and enter for 2022. Entering and putting myself out there and pushing my creative limits was already a huge accomplishment for me, so having the honor to be recognized for my work is mind blowing. I woke up this morning and thought I was dreaming. NAH GIRL, YOU DID THAT!

This is such a milestone for my career. The HAIR AWARDS] is such a prestigious award to receive in the industry and the fact that I’m now in the running just leaves me at a loss for words.

To everyone who has been there along this journey to support me in any way, thank you so damn much. Without that, I would’ve never had the confidence to take my shot. 💕

As I sit here and try to write out this caption, I can’t help but reflect back on my journey up until this point. Almost 4 years ago I graduated from and started my career with Fellow on good ‘ol Rivington St. From the moment I stepped through that door, I’ve worked my 🍑 off day in and day out.

Over these 4 years I’ve learned that hard work truly pays off. Nothing in this world is just handed to you, you have to earn it. Well, I sure did earn it.

, thank you for supporting me from day 1 of my career and continuing to give me such amazing opportunities. My clients, I wouldn’t be where I am without your endless support. Following me from shop to shop, still coming in for haircuts during a pandemic to now supporting me as I rise up within the ranks at Fellow. Thank you and I love y’all so much 💚

7+ hours of hard work went into this look. I won’t lie, this was the most challenging hair cut and color I’ve done in my career. I hit some bumps in the road with the color (note to self: stick with your tried and true brands), but I didn’t give up and I came out on the other end a better stylist. I learned a lot along the way and I’m proud of myself for pushing past my comfort zone and doing something I never fathomed I’d be able to.

Biiiiig shoutout to my model for allowing me to use his hair as my canvas and being so patience throughout the whole process.

After attending this past year, I was inspired to push my creative limits and throw my hat in the ring this year. Here is my first entry on my good friend . Thanks for always being my test dummy 🤍

I used BLONDME for bleach and developer and toned with Color Brilliance in Icy White. To create the design I used my Slimeline Pro Li and faded it out with my Magic Clip. Lastly, I chopped the top with my 5.0’s.
