Just a young girl from the Dominican Republic who did her own research, with one dream: to come to NYC and have her hair highlighted by me because she wanted to keep her hair healthy. 🤍

If I remember correctly, I believe her aunt was the one who told her about the Studio.

Her dad even asked her, “Maybe Miami?”

She said, “No. NYC.” 🗽

These are the clients I talk about when I train my staff: “the ones who do their homework.”

They are the ones who research. They value their hair, understand the importance of the right technique, and care deeply about the long-term health and integrity of their hair.

And these are often the clients who stay with you for the long term because they recognize the value of expertise, trust the process, and understand that healthy, beautiful hair is a relationship, not a one-time service.

Thank you so much for your beautiful review. I truly wasn’t expecting such wonderful words from you and your mother. 🙏

Sending all my love to both of you in the Dominican Republic. 🇩🇴🤍

Why I Don’t Work With One-Time Clients And Why I Mentor Others to Attract the Right Clientele

Why Our Hair Color Menu Is Simple And Win-Win

Because real results of balayage aren’t built in one visit they’re built in relationship.

I call it the “MAP” when I mentor: consistent touch, vision, taste, placement, and all the above.

Consistency is what makes the difference visible. It’s not just technique it’s more than technique. It’s knowing the where, the how, and all the above when it comes to preserving the health of the hair.

Last balayage for this beautiful lady was April. Today, we refreshed the same map after four months and remember, the paint of light is painted onto the surface, so the older the balayage gets, the better it looks. Win-win.

Special thanks to so many of you for visiting this week from many different places.
We’re training more for balayage now, and models are always needed so reach out if you’d like to be one. 🤍

French European Balayage: The Art of the Paint

Balayage is not random painting. The painter controls where the lightener starts, where it saturates, where it diffuses.

Our clients stay consistent because of that pattern — the pop of light never fades, since it’s hand-painted and never fully saturated. The depth always remains the canvas underneath the paint.

We’re always seeking hair models for training email us if you’re interested.

The other day, I was watching a documentary on TV on Netflix called “ Big Chicken “

I love information, and this one was about fried chicken and why people choose one particular brand over another.

What really caught my attention was a woman explaining what evokes human emotion and influences people to choose that particular chicken. Her profession?

Sensory expert.

And it made me think about balayage.

Most clients can see and feel the difference immediately. They don’t want the foils. They want balayage.

Why ? Because the way it feels in their head plain and simple

You’re just not paying attention.

My mentor used to say, “If you listen to the client, they will tell you everything you need to know.”

And it’s true.

The information is right in front of you.
You just have to be present enough to notice it.

Brianda | NYC French Balayage you hear it live in my chair so you have real feedbacks from clients .

Sensory Analyst (someone who scientifically evaluates how people perceive products through the senses )

When I say “paint the hair,” I mean just paint the hair but nobody believes me… except my clients do. 😉

We transformed this years ago from overprocessed to the most beautiful, dimensional color, and the sun’s only made it better since.

Last touch-up was back in March, and it’s still holding gorgeous.

ellesieeeeee no filter, pure photo of this gorgeousness.

I have a lot of chic, special moments and since that’s a statement now, this one’s for my daughter, Bri Brianda | NYC French Balayage.

I’ve mentored many people, but this one saw it all.

I took her with me. It meant missing a lot of “me time” and a lot of her time too. But look how far you’ve come, . Proud of you.

We keep the promise to our angel in heaven, Ziza Gani.
She was our special leader in this life, and our legacy now is to carry her beautiful heart and wisdom forward.

I was 13 when I started in the beauty world. She told me to get a trade and I’d always have work. She made homemade carpets with her own hands her wisdom is timeless.

Go watch the family documentary. The truth is there.

She left this world too soon, but not without leaving her mark on all of us.

That first photo is you and me at my very first salon job.
I took you with me everywhere. You saw it all the American dream, Brianda | NYC French Balayage, from graduation to building the world of beauty. ❤️ Now your job is to reveal all that you’ve learned.

Keep growing, up and up. 🤍 and i BELIEVE in YOU 🤝❤️ #

Clients still think balayage is a trend, but balayage is a French highlighting technique, hand-painted directly onto the hair, with no foils. 🇫🇷

What makes it special isn’t just how it looks when you leave the chair. It’s the longevity of the regrowth soft, seamless, and designed to grow out beautifully without harsh lines.

This before photo is a perfect example. Look at how intact her color still looks after 4 months of regrowth.

That’s the technique.
The vision.
The placement.

Balayage is the art of knowing how, where, and how much highlight to add, because every head is different.

It’s an art form designed around the unique movement, shape, and beauty of each woman’s hair.

And beyond creating long-lasting hair color, we build long-term relationships with our clients.

Beautiful hair that lasts.
A relationship built on trust.
That’s the win-win.

Midheaven energy doesn’t let you shrink.

The mission was never just the chair. It was always the bigger vision.

The Leo eclipse downloads were so powerful for me yesterday. I started speaking my thoughts out loud and then I stopped to ask myself: Where are these thoughts coming from?

The mind and body need to be in sync for true alignment. Otherwise, there is friction between the soul and the life you’re trying to live.

There is a difference between what is familiar, what is comfortable, and what is truly ALIGNED.

Once you master alignment, the body becomes more in tune with your soul not the noise of the mind. And somehow, the universe begins showing you exactly what you need to see, be, and do.

The pattern of familiarity lives in the mind.
The truth lives in the body.

And when you finally step away from the familiar, you can see yourself clearly and realize you’ve been watching the same movie on repeat.

Alignment changes the movie. ✨
