Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. Reiki is used for stress reduction, relaxation, mind clarity and balance.
It promotes overall healing. Aegis comes from the Greek mythology meaning ageless and immortal. To do something "under someone aegis" means doing something under the protection of a powerful, knowledgeable, or benevolent source.
