Sunday, we gathered. We wrote. We sat with what we’d been carrying — and we didn’t have to carry it alone.

Alex Elle | Writing & Healing and AKILI KING held the room with so much care. People opened up in ways that don’t always happen in everyday life. Words hit the page. Tears fell. Laughter, too. And by the end, something had shifted — you could feel it.

Cue the Record | Session 023 | Newark

Session 023 was our first time opening the doors of HealHaus Newark, and we welcomed the community in the only way that felt right — with The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill filling the room in hi-def.

An album built on love and healing was the perfect introduction to a space built for the same. Strangers became community, and community became something you could feel. That’s what this is all about.
